Chilli Spice — Restaurant in Lincoln

Lovely! Simply lovely! Been for a takeout tonight and staff are superb! So friendly and even had a laugh with me winding me up over the price haha! Great when you visit places and your not sat feeling uncomfortable wondering where to put your eyes and what to do, but the staff were exceptional and the food is equally as good. Been a few times now and everytime the food has been perfect. These guys and girls have the hospitality down to a fine art! Also a quick glance at the drinks menu and they're very well priced. My only gripe would be the becks zero is priced the same as alcoholic beers, which I think if you're out for a meal and designated driver it's a bit of a hit on the chin when others are paying the same price for alcoholic drinks such as kingfisher etc. Bar that the place is brilliant. 10/10.

Edit back tonight for another very pleasant experience and another superb curry. Manager who I belive he is had told me he seen my review on here and wasn't aware of the printing error that had occurred when printing the menus and that the becks blue wasn't the same cost as alcoholic drinks but infact around 2 pounds cheaper and has made a point of altering all menus in his restaurant and thanked me for bringing this to his attention. So they are simply faultless! Great atmosphere, great food, great people and great prices right across the board! If you haven't been yet get along for a fantastic experience whether you're taking out or dining in I'm sure you won't leave...

Very disappointing experience. Placed my order for a Mushroom Biryani and Vegetable Platter at 9:05pm on Friday evening (4th Sept). The estimated time for delivery was 40 minutes. By 10pm it still hadn't arrived so I called in. The lady was polite and apologetic and said that it was already out for delivery. The meal finally arrived at 10:17pm, thirty minutes longer than was previously advised. Upon returning inside and unwrapping my meal, I found it was not what I ordered, by which time they had closed. I received a Tarka Dahl which smelt and looked horrid. I would advise customers to check all of their items before allowing the driver to leave as I couldn't eat the Tarka Dahl, so that was almost £8 wasted on food that went in the bin. Not a happy...

Wouldve been 5/5 except on the 2 occasions weve ordered drivers had a problem finding us (even tho we rang before hand to give directions). This chef def knows his spices, the flavours of the food are Exelent! Only fault with the actual cooking was the lamb chop starter which was tough (shame as the sauce was lovely).Chicken pakora was soggy (due to the lenght of time it took let down due to the time it took to reach us) shame as the chicken was cooked well - wouldve Loved it....... without the soggy ! Chilli Chicken Masala Top Knotch as was the Shahjahani Lamb 👍Talented chef....Thank you, really enjoy your flavours...... shame the delivery time reflects badly on your skills, we will give it a 3rd try...
