What an absolute gem. Great food and great service. We love an Indian and that means going into town or further for a good one. Kattika is on the doorstep on rice lane ( the old bakery inn). Friday night, not many in so seated straight away, Beers and popodom and pickle tray are ordered while we went through the menu asked for what was popular. We ordered onion bhaji and chicken kapora for starters with garlic chilli chicken and chicken and murgh chilli masala, garlic naan, pilau rice and chips. Starter - 2 huge bhaji and 4 kaporas. Both excellent the kaopas crisp and that gentle hint of Indian spices the bhaji crisp on the outside tender but fully cooked on the inside. We both gave then 5* More beers ordered after the starters Mains, first off portion size is good, no tiny little bowl this was a decent sized dish filled with steaming curry goodness. Considering the two curries we ordered, sound the same they were so different but equally delicious. A decent portion of rice to chair and excellent crispy fries and a nice naan bread for mopping up. The curries both full of flavour and a decent amount of spice were top draw and we did polish them off but we were very, very full. Finished our beers slowly and got the bill it came and the shock ! Less than £60 . What an absolute bargain.
SERVICE - Our server was great, gave advice and chatty and helpful pointed out a dish and told us about the meal offers midweek. 14.99 for a 3 course
