Must say we’ve got a love hate relationship with MCD. Love those fries and other goodies that keeps us coming back but tonight have got a bit of a gripe here. Had food delivered from Rice Lane tonight. Burger was tasty though it and the rest of my order came lukewarm and this happens far too often. This is the norm for this outlet even though food arrives in a keep hot carry bag. Glad we have a microwave. The more annoying thing tonight is the following: each order has specific items and sauces that are part of the food order on items such as; salad (dressing), cheese bites (rich tomato sauce), milkshakes (straws), McNuggets (dip choice - @ 6) and so on with other items. Without fail every order bagged and sealed at this franchise is missing these integral items. Sure you can live without but it is part of the meal enjoyment, but also try drinking a milkshake without a straw or have a lettuce salad without its only seasoning the balsamic dressing (only choice offered). I would guess there’s reasonable assumption that this is possibly a method of saving on franchise operational costs. This rings true considering the inclusion of the other missing items. These sauces are requested by ticking next to the name after selecting the item it’s meant to belong with. Therefore it is clearly printed on the order with no excuse for it to not be included. The straws are expected to come with all cold beverages in cups and don’t need to be requested. However, even when a specific request has been added in a note sent on the order to the franchise it is most often ignored. The next issue on this review is that MCD has in past always given satisfaction of being able to request food items to be prepared how we want them but with recent changes this is no longer offered on orders placed through delivery. A selection of items to remove can still be opted but other changes like addition of mayo, Big Mac sauce, lettuce, onion, & similar options have all been removed. One would argue well then there would be fewer mistakes or missing items. Not true: straws still missing as was the sauce for the cheese bites. To launch a complaint to MCD you are expected to call the given franchise first. Give up because no one ever answers their phone and there is no possible way to text msg the franchise. The above problems and missing drinks occur so often that one delivery company (U...) actually accused us of lying and refused to refund missing drinks or to deal with future problems. [Lying to get sauces and straws or the random soda??? Not talking chicken or burgers] McDonald’s you’re failing us. I would have brought up the ridiculous pricing on a few menu items or the cost of delivery which is well OTT (for less than .5km ) but I’ll go into that at...
Read moreI am a regular customer at this McDonald's, visiting approximately every two weeks, sometimes weekly. Unfortunately, I consistently experience issues with my orders. For instance:
My children's plain burger Happy Meals are frequently made incorrectly, and the same issue occurs with the Big Mac meals. The 20-piece Chicken McNuggets are often overcooked and, on occasion, have contained fewer than the advertised amount.
These persistent errors necessitate me checking every order before leaving, which is frustrating and time-consuming, especially given the cost of returning to rectify mistakes. My attempts to contact the restaurant by phone have been unsuccessful on several occasions. More recently, with the introduction of the Minecraft meals, none of the Big Mac meals I've ordered have included the advertised toy, requiring me or my partner to go back to the restaurant to request them. Furthermore, the constant presence of a security guard suggests issues with loitering outside the premises, primarily involving large groups of children and older teenagers. While this doesn't personally intimidate me, I remain vigilant due to their numbers, particularly when accompanied by my young children. This situation can feel unwelcoming, as customers with children are often singled out for entry, creating an unnecessary and slightly uncomfortable atmosphere. I experienced this firsthand during...
