I had never been tempted from seeing the outside but recently moved to just round the corner so gave it a try. Have to say, I've been missing out! Inside is modern with exquisite lighting. The welcome was warm and we were seated straight away. One thing we appreciated was that the tables were quite spread out. Unlike lots of other restaurants we felt we had room to relax. They could easily accomodate more tables but we really liked not feeling cramped in. The kingfisher on tap was crisp and cool and the mocktail we tried was delicious. Our order was taken as soon as we were ready and our starters arrived quickly. We ordered fairly standard dishes for starters, although one was off the menu but they were happy to make it. They were all well cooked but it was the mains that were the real stars. As regular curry eaters we were spoiled by the range of dishes we hadnt come across before. Everything well cooked and full of flavour and we can't wait to start working through the menu! I broke my rule of not eating lamb chops in sauce outside of the house and, as expected it did get messy, but it was well worth it. Thankfully hot towels were served soon after finishing so it wasn't long before I could make myself respectable again. All in, popadoms, chutneys, starters, mains, rice and drinks for three, it came to around £70. The food, service and atmosphere certainly exceeded other Indian restaurants in this price catagory and I can't think of a single criticism.

Fabulous visit from start to end decor, ambience, cleanliness, comfort, table linen all very good. All 9 of us chose different dishes with assistance from extremely knowledgeable, patient and helpful waiter, he knew his menu well. Food was delicious and piping hot and all served together +++. The service was excellent, such a pleasure to be served by well trained, friendly and professional staff who actually appear to enjoy their job. I only caught one of their names, I think Dan but they were all amazing, thankyou all. A thoroughly enjoyable evening at a very reasonable cost, cannot recommend highly enough,...
