We’ve been coming here most weekends since it opened. Always enjoyed it. Food good, staff friendly. Don’t order a soft drink though. £2.50 for a can of coke etc. Occasionally we’ve had to wait quite a while to be served, but that’s understandable when it’s busy and never put us off. However, we walked in this morning and after 15 mins of waiting for our order to be taken we walked out and went to the Bistro in Taskers next door. It was very busy so we were prepared for a wait, but after a few minutes we were totally ignored while staff cleared tables around us. We made ourselves known to a staff member and she said she would be over to take our order ASAP. Another couple walked in and she cleared a table for them. 15 minutes later she went to the couple who had walked in after us. That was the last straw so we left. Sadly we won’t be returning which is sad, but we’ve noticed more and more recently that this kind of thing happens. The cafe is becoming busier and sadly the staff, although friendly don’t seem to have a clue about...
Read morePopped in with my daughter, son in law & grandson, I had full English, daughter, omlette & grandson a sausage on toast. Son in law had already eaten earlier but when he saw our food he was 'gutted'. Oh well we will have to return soon....food delish, my bacon cooked exactly as I like it, good wholesome fresh & very tasty, we will deffo be back ! 😋😋😋 Second visit not as good as 1st 😐 chaotic as I walked into cafe, a workman had to cancel order, not sure what problem was, possibly he waited too long for order, he got money back & left. I waited a while for scrambled eggs & bacon, I asked waitress how long will my food be, she went to kitchen to enquire, she told me few more minutes but I could tell by her expression they had forgotten my order 🙄 when food arrived, eventually, I got tiny piece of toast. 😔 food was fine but £7+ for food & cup of tea bit steep. Biggest grumble was time it took to arrive plus other people came in after me & git served before me 👎 would I...
Read moreWe lived 5 minutes away for years but only discovered this café in November 22 when recommended by a friend. We then had our kitchen done whilst I had awful pregnancy sickness so we couldn't make food, & treated ourselves to your breakfasts on several Saturdays! Through my pregnancy, the "green on brown" avocado, spinach & broccoli with fried eggs was my treat - my Google account says we came 7 times! We had our last breakfast as a couple here the day before the c section & it was one of the first places we popped into with our new baby, though only for a quick drink. We'll be back for breakfast soon! The menu is much more varied than your usual brunch spot. There's lots of healthy options & naughty options too. It's busy but there's usually a table ready, the staff are friendly, the toilets are clean. Prices are very reasonable. Really it is one of my top 3 brunch spots...
