Came here last night as we were feeling a random curry 🙂 we had mixed reviews, so we came up with a star 3 🌟 Firstly I will say the decor was lovely & the staff were very friendly & professional 😀 The food was mixed reviews the curries were nice the butter paneer was lovely a little on the tomato side but lovely none the less, the lamb curry was nice but the lamb not as soft as i personally would have liked it, the peshawari naan was delightful but the other bread was wasn't worth the price as you can see in the pics it couldn't of been ate as it was to hard , my older daughter wanted the lemon chicken....she seemed to like them I personally thought they had a funny smell, my husband said they smel6 like a fish marinade , the chips are stated spicy chips, so we were hoping for masala spicy chips but we got just chips with chilli powder which was so disappointing. The chicken wings in the pics were £7 plus for 6 tiny pieces ....they were really nice, but more should be given or at least bigger pieces for the price. Pani puri was lovely....delicious in fact ....only problem is that it was served towards the end which isn't the best as the melt easily, however we got devoured! Overall, I would like to give this place another try & maybe try other things, but based on this first these are my honest reviews and opinions. I feel like maybe the chef or restaurant is playing it safe with ingredients, spices, or flavours & maybe toning the authenticity down a notch. Also, not all dishes mentioned are pictured as some foods were at the other end...
Read moreWe visited here after seeing so many mixed feedbacks. However upon reaching there, we found enough parking which you have to register at bar reception. Since it was Monday and most of Indian restaurants were closed, here also it was it was not at all crowded. The welcome and service was just nice. The ambience was outstanding. The seatings were nice with wall mounted long sofas and comfy chairs. They had different size of tables and number of chairs to accommodate any type of crowd like if it is just 2 people to have a tea and snacks, or a drink, or if it is a family or a party of multiple family or colleagues.
As it was Monday, some of the items from menu was not available that time. We ordered the chilli chicken which was nice. But the size of chicken were very small and only 5 or six pieces were there. There was more sauce on it which could have been avoided. The Rangoli Special Chat and Pani Poori was superb. We liked it.
We ordered a chettinadu chicken Biriyani which was great, the mutton Korma and butter nan was also a nice one except Korma had a sweet taste which, personally, I did not like. Overall, the quantity was not bad but not so great too in terms of the prices they charged. The water was supplied in a traditional glass bottle with plastic/fiber lid just like a cork attached to the glass mouth with a clip. We liked that too. Overall service and atmosphere was nice and welcoming. Cleanliness good. Waiting time was absolutely fine since there was not many crowd on the day we went....
Read moreafter reading the reviews i'm very disappointed with it, didn't meet expectations atall. you arrive to the manager wondering round outside and the bar staff looking at you clueless when you walk in. if you haven't booked they allow you a table for one hour, nobody wants to rush - that wasn't a problem we didn't expect them to fit us in we understand they can be fully booked however it was early and only one table was occupied but we we're happy to take away. anyway on to the food. we took ours away due to not booking thnakfully as i am so glad we didn't sit down to eat that meal! chicken dum biriani was full of chicken bones it was rice and chicken wings, and not great at that! this isn't a picture of eaten chicken we scraped it with a fork to see the fatty chicken inside and it wasn't all legs, there were knuckles and small bones through the rice - somosas as were fine, spring rolls was 3 ordinary sized cut in half and called 6, and the spiced chips were just chips and chilli powder. onto the bread! which was the worst part! i understand bread with cheese can go soggy if not eaten fresh however we live 2 minutes away and it was taken out the bag as soon as we got home, it wasn't just that the cheese had melted the little cheese there was on it and it was soggy - it was the taste! it was supposed to be chilli cheese garlic naan, it was soaking and heavy with oil, doughy and stodgy, it tasted like pancake mix. that's exactly what it tasted like! absolutely awful....
