The Coffee House — Restaurant in Liverpool

We chose the Coffee House for our baby girls christening in July and were extremely disappointed with the service provided. Firstly, there was no boiling water available, which was essential for making tea and preparing bottles for the many babies present. When my 87-year-old Nan politely asked for some hot water, the staff's response was incredibly rude and unaccommodating.

Upon arrival in the morning to set up the balloons and tables, we were greeted by a strong smell of cannabis in the pub, giving off a very unpleasant vibe. The presence of this smell was highly inappropriate, especially considering the early hour and the family-friendly nature of the event. Additionally, the venue seemed chaotic with kids running around at 9:00am in the morning, making it challenging to set up the decorations peacefully. The pub doesn't open until 12 so not sure if these kids were the owners or family.

Furthermore, as the event was winding down, the staff began setting tables for other customers, making it clear they wanted us to leave promptly. This rush was unwelcoming and disrespectful, especially given the nature of the event.

To add to the frustration, we had purchased a cake for the occasion and requested to leave the remaining half overnight, only to find a significant portion of it had been eaten when we returned the next day. This lack of respect for our belongings is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the establishment's professionalism.

Overall, the lack of basic amenities, disrespectful behavior, and mishandling of our property left a sour taste in our mouths. I would not recommend this venue for any future events based on...

Food was fast and easy to order, everything was fine until when it came to the bill there was a bit of a hiccup. Although there was only 10 of us, 5 of them were students and 1 child. It wasn't that difficult to work out but it was a took a while.
