Fika 139 is a true hidden gem—an effortlessly stylish venue offering a sophisticated fusion of African, Caribbean, and British cuisine. From the moment you walk in, you’re met with an atmosphere that is both modern and warm, striking the perfect balance between relaxed dining and refined culinary experience.

The menu is refreshingly creative, delivering bold, authentic flavours with a contemporary twist. The salt fish and sweet yam croquettes were perfectly crisp and flavourful, while the suya-spiced steak was cooked to perfection, rich in smoky depth. Every dish feels thoughtfully curated, celebrating cultural heritage with a modern, elevated touch.

The drinks menu is equally outstanding, with expertly mixed cocktails that complement the food beautifully. The service throughout was attentive, friendly, and professional—striking just the right note between welcoming and discreet.

Whether you’re in the mood for a leisurely brunch, a relaxed afternoon with exceptional coffee, or a vibrant evening of fine dining and cocktails, Fika 139 delivers an unforgettable experience. A perfect destination in Peckham for those who appreciate cultural authenticity served with...

When you step into 139 Fika, you immediately understand why it's far more than just a place to eat—it's an experience.

From the moment you cross the threshold, the vibe envelops you, creating an atmosphere that is truly unmatched. It's a sanctuary where culinary artistry meets intellectual curiosity, all wrapped in an embrace of genuine warmth.

I have dinned here on multiple occasions, for brunch and dinner. I love the food 🤤 and, I have had many 'Fika moments' - great conversations with other customers. The vibe of the place just facilities it.

The chefs are incredible, the staff are lovely and the owner is a remarkable human. I'm there practically all of the time, and I can't wait for my next Fika moment, the energy is so positive and contagious, I just can't get enough. I also hope they start regular chess activities for their chess club soon - they play chess here often, which furter enhances the fika moments. The library is filled with unique titles. They support the local community with open arms, very much reminiscent of a...

I dined here for my birthday with my husband last night.

The place is warm and intimate. The staff were friendly and attentive.

We had the Tavern Gully land of wood & water "run a boat" Inna Peckham Rye, crispy curry lamb nuggets with 24Kt yellow gold curry dust, cucumber, scallion& curry gravy dip. It was delicious and piping hot.

For my main I had Chargrilled suya spiced/ 30 day aged 8 oz sirloin steak/ smoked aubergine puree nested crispy garden egg/ okra twigs/ palm wine glaze. The presentation was outstanding and the steak was mouth watering.

My husband had Chargrilled butterflied sea bass, stir fried pak choi with shredded carrots, sea lettuce, ginger, garlic, chard green lime, scallion/ red red sauce. It was so soft and delicious.

As sides we had both the jollof rice & the plantain; both were sensational.

We had a margarita and a glass of orange wine which were both great and lasted our entire meal.

Would definitely recommend to try something a...

10s across the board for Fika. We came for a late lunch on a sunny Saturday afternoon. The restaurant doors were wide open, letting the gorgeous weather in while patrons enjoyed delicious small plates or espressos alongside a game of chess. We immediately liked the place. It’s a beautiful petite restaurant with a handsome bar, friendly staff and a deliciously punchy menu. We enjoyed juicy wings, morish salt fish fritters, a light and tasty tomato salad and perfectly fried plantain, all washed down with crisp beer and perfectly chilled picpoul. The conversation flowing between staff and customers was warm, inviting and in perfect harmony with the draw in of a lazy weekend evening. Can’t recommend Fika enough. If you’re looking for something new, delicious and relaxed, you’ve found it.
