Such a shame to put a 1 star review since I used to be a regular and I quite enjoy the pizza there. Today’s experience how ever it left a bitter taste. After finding a piece of hair in my pizzas I returned it to the counter. The person at the till was rather embarrassed and assured me he will fix it, however he didn’t apologise for the situation. I didn’t want to make a fuss and I returned to my table, however when another member of the team approached me and informed me that another pizza is on its way it didn’t feel right. I told her that to begin with I was expecting at least one apologise to which she replayed that this is her way of apologising... I told her that apologising means saying sorry. She became argumentative and I told her that she should have asked me first if I want another pizza or for a “way of apologising”. Quite often after you found some hair in your food you kind of loose your appetite. She didn’t seem to understand my point. I couldn’t bother arguing with her and trying to understand my point of view so I asked for a refund. She did give me a refund for my drink as well. It’s a shame because I’m not the kind of person that would create a drama for a hair or ask for a refund but the situation called for it. Pity I don’t feel like coming back regardless of the quality...

What has happened here? The service here in the last 6 months (could be longer actually) has been shocking. Had one experience a couple of weeks ago where we waited an unacceptable amount of time to 1.Be given a menu, then 2.To have our order taken, then 3.For the pizzas to arrive. We were sat at the counter and it got to the point where the pizza chefs were shouting “service!” because they could see we were just sat there like lemons waiting for ages even to just get a menu. We could see other tables having issues too, orders being forgotten to put through etc. It wasn’t busy either that’s the thing. We said we’d never go back, but I did go back last night with some other friends, and the service was disappointingly similar. How does it take so long to be given a menu? Surely that is the very first thing you do when you seat a table. We had to flag them down and ask them to take our order too as it was taking so long. Then they forgot to put the truffle oil on the truffle pizzas. (To be honest I think it was one staff member’s first shift, so fair enough. But where were the other staff?) Anyway really is such a shame as the pizza here is good. But I won’t be...

Cute spot with solid pizza; I was the 2nd table seated today at lunch. The chorizo could have been a tad more flavourful, but the better quality of the ingredients came out in each bite. Certainly worth adding this to your list of wood-fires pizzas to try in London. The space was a bit cold (temperature wise) but the decor was great and I loved the hanging plants and the sunroof ceiling.

Service was efficient and friendly, although with so few tables sat down, I might have swung by once after dropping off the food to ask how things were tasting. There is an automatic gratuity included. The prices are completely fair.

Only small critical feedbacks would be 1) the coffee just wasn’t very tasty, especially in comparison to the excellent pizza (the wine list looked v good, although the draft beer left a little to with for) 2) The floor could have used a better mopping after the last service and once I noticed that, I ran my hand over that bench and it came away dirty and dusty. The tables and all the silverware and plates were immaculate, to be clear, just seemed to need some spot cleaning in a...

I can’t bring myself to leave a one star review for a single takeout experience... but i wish I could. I’ve never known a pizza to be simultaneously burnt at the crust and yet the centre so paper thin and soggy that it’s both impossible to cut (adopt a “score and tear” strategy) AND impossible to lift with any hope of retaining the toppings of overcooked chorizo and two basil leaves in place. Which, by the way, were all distributed on one side of the pizza - but we’ll blame the delivery driver for that one, shall we? Also, why would you send a bottle of white wine that has never seen the inside of a fridge?? Is it not logical that we would like a glass of CHILLED white wine with our hot-and-soggy pizza? Or do you serve cupboard temperature wine to tables that dine inside your restaurant? I guess the bonus star is for delivery time, at 20 minutes on a Saturday night. Which speaks volumes to me.

One of the best pizza joints in Peckham, the pizzas are properly wood fired and the dough has that pleasing mix of bounce and char. I had the cheeseburger pizza, which seems ridiculous, and it is, but it's also really tasty, with the beef sourced from local Flock n Herd butchers and special Kim Kong kimchi burger sauce. Flock and Herd also supply the spicy lamb sausage for one of their other signature pizzas, also very good. It's a cosy place, lots of hanging plants from the ceiling which is nice. They have a local pills on tap but also stock Peroni Red, which is like the standard Peroni but with some actual flavour.
