Amasi Cafe — Restaurant in London

I was there on the 31st October 2020 for some food and Shisha. They wanted us to all to get Shisha before we ate, it felt as if they was forcing us however we repeatedly said after we eat we’ll order Shisha. The guy that was serving us was terrible just threw everything on the table, you name it drinks, food, everything we ordered he just threw it straight on the table and our food was sliding around. Thank god there wasn’t a service charge included as I wouldn’t have paid in a million years. The food was great though I would advice to try the mixed grill with rice, The rice was similar to authentic rice stewed with meat and it was rich in flavour specially with the raisins which was cooked with the rice. The manager is a nice guy I had spoken to him about the guy that was serving us but I wouldn’t want to return and be served by the same guy, at least I know he’s face and he made our night a terrible one. We was actually close to leaving after he slapped our food on the table. He’s name is Anwar (Indian Guy) or something whatever you do not get served by him if you want a enjoyable evening. As I can’t leave 0 stars then 1 star...

Great lowkey place for food and shisha, the food is a bit mid but for the price you pay the portion sizes are fair but only if you get the shawarma, I wouldn’t recommend the wings. They taste okay but the portions are not great.

Sauce is free which is great because most places don’t offer this, the shisha I would say is 3/5 it is good depending on the flavour but it doesn’t last at all, if you do order shisha make sure you get it after food otherwise taking the coals off will make it go stale rapidly.

The service is outstanding, they will go above and beyond to make sure you’re looked after sometimes it gets really busy but if you make some eye contact they normally come to check if you’re okay and they also don’t apply service charge to the bill which is great because you don’t have to feel embarrassed to decline parting with your pennies.

As for parking I would recommend the off street parking which is normally free after the standard...

Great spot for after football shisha session 😅, free parking available outside, make sure you don’t block anyone, otherwise your car will be advertised to the whole cafe.

Food - Falafel wrap has to be the top pick with Samooon bread at 11pm. Dessert- Moroccan mint tea and baklava go well together after the meal, but this ain’t the baklava that you see on Instagram videos so don’t put your hopes up; it’s the mini version without the ice cream. Very well priced menu. Value for money. TVs available all around to watch football in any direction you turn your head.

Team is great and always on look out to change the coals and get your orders placed. You pay on exit, just remember your table location.
