My daughter and I chose this restaurant for Sunday brunch (28th April) from reading the menu and positive reviews. We didn't book and with hindsight it probably would have been a good idea as they were were full when we arrived about 10.30am. However, one positive note, we only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Unfortunately from here things went downhill. Regarding the food - firstly I ordered poached eggs and was brought scrambled which were returned. Therefore my daughter had to start eating her meal before me or it would have gone cold. When my correct food order arrived, the poached egg yokes were overcooked and solid! However I decided not to return my meal for a second time as I was hungry and wanted to eat with my daughter. I decided to have a coffee after my food but when attracting a young girls attention was told rudely that she wasn't a waiter and couldn't take the order. Nevertheless she didn't think to ask a colleague to come and take our order and so we had to gesticulate to another employee to eventually request another coffee. Then when I came to pay the bill the payment machine declined my card twice and my daughter's card once before we finally achieved a successful transaction. Very embarrassing when our cards were perfectly authentic!! And to add a further insult we established that a mandatory service charge had been added to the bill which we hadn't been made aware of and would most certainly have requested for it's removal! My overall experience could be summed up as disappointing and overpriced considering the issues, food quality and lack of customer service we experienced, in addition to the unwarranted service charge. Would I return - probably not. I've eaten at more upmarket eateries in London and this one...

Read moreSadly really disappointed. Just walked out feeling disrespected. Thought this would be my go to spot to work from, stayed there for a few hours after being told it wouldn’t a problem (I called before I came) Awkward waitress comes over to hand over the bill and within seconds turns up with the card reader to ask me to leave. Felt it would have been polite to be warned or given 5-10 mins notice but instead was just being kicked out within seconds. I told her this, she didn’t seem to care (FYI for the sake of identifying her she has a completely shaved head). I’m always conscious of overstaying and look around to be sure there are empty tables in order for me to continue staying. There wasn’t anybody waiting to be seated and at least 3 tables free at this point. Sadly the beef burger I ordered was very tough and I struggled to eat it let alone finish it. This place only really made the cut the first time I came on a Saturday where perhaps we were lucky to have a nice waiter. I’m generally really gutted as it failed the next few times I came. This was the first time I stayed to do some work. Feel you should train your staff better and simply offer better customer service. You just...
