Bamboo House — Restaurant in London

we have been visiting this restaurant since it opened up and always had a great time including the service and food. but to my surprise,we visited the restaurant on 29th march 2024 with my entire family wherein we were a group of 10 people and the restaurant wasn’t that busy but there were 4 tables occupied by other people. we decided to go for the unlimited thali ,lamb biryani’s ,noodles etc ordered the food with the waitress and there was no sign of her as she was in the kitchen cooking. we wanted to order drinks and some food from the kids section but no one was available in the restaurant,we had to go and knock on the kitchen door to grab her attention in order to order the kids food. food arrived 43minutes later which is a shame but only half food.and the other around half an hour later.the service was awful and the poor waitress was the only one serving and helping out in the kitchen too which is not safe keeping in mind health and safety and she had her lil son who will be around 4years of age in the restaurant playing.now coming to the food,well it was advertised the thali was unlimited which was not as every item which was needed to be refilled took around 30 minutes to get to our table,as the portion was small and needed refilling .we had the worst service ever ,even my local chicken and chip shop provides better service. The owner Prashaaant really needs to buckle up and pay some attention to the service which is provided to the customers as we are paying for service that we are not receiving in his restaurant.Poor waitress was trying hard to meet ends.this restaurant has really gone down hill as in the past it was such a gem . HAD AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE AND NEVER RETURNING BACK AND WILL MAKE SURE TO SPREAD THE WORLD AS DONT WANT OTHERS TO...

Wish I could give minus (-5) star rating. The board outside the store says breakfast buffet at 8 am .. when you enter they say the buffet breakfast starts at 9 am.. There were no bhajyas served at all... It shows in the menu that there 4 different types ,but not even 1 type of bhajiya was there. Plates are very small , it's more of a toddler size plate.. and you can't take more than one plate as they charge you per plate. Service is very very slow . We were the only ones in the restaurant,When we entered they said pooris would be served at the table .we were 3 of us , and she brought just 2 pooris..All the staff were inside the kitchen, there was not even one staff outside. We wanted to ask for more pooris but there was no staff to talk to.. after 15 mins then staff came and when we asked her for more pooris, she was not happy. Next round of 2 pooris came almost 20 mins later. Before she could leave we asked her for more pooris but she gave a deaf ear and just walked away. They keep bringing only 2 pooris that took 20 mins apart as if they are frying only 2 pooris at a time . It's just wastage of time waiting first for the staff and then for the pooris. When we asked for the bill , she said there is no bill. So we asked her how much was the total bill , she said 17.98 , but when she entered in the machine it was 19.78 .when we challenged her then she changed the bill to 17.98.

Just to warn you all... Be careful if you guys are going there... Have a lot of patience and check your bill before payment. ... But if you personally ask me for recommendations..then this is definitely not on the list...

Very disappointed today by the food and service.we ordered Hyderabadi Chicken biryani and Maharaja lamb biryani that seemed to be cooked by somone having no idea and skill to cook it.Even a pulao will be much better than it.Not that we had it first time.we liked the biryani there few months ago and went again expecting to have the same but it was no where close to that and not even tasted like any biryani.The service was so slow we kept waiting for ages for our order despite the fact that only one table was occupied by 3 people who already had their lunch.Also ordered mango lassi that was so sour that on complaining first they said they will add more sugar which we didn’t want and then told they will get fresh lassi which they brought after long period of wait.On mentioning the staff about the taste and quality and checking if its a different chef, she informed the chef is different as their chef is on holidays.However I was surprised by the fact that despite of us not happy with the food and service she was charging us 4-5 pounds extra as service charge on top of the price of the dishes that itself is not at all justifiable for the quality and when my husband noticed and surprisingly asked they said they can take it off.Surprised how can one serve anything costly on the name of some dish and fool the customers.Will not go...
