Bit of an average experience this evening at Bargo. Booked for 7:30 (and was called to confirm timing) but after arriving weren't seated until 7:45 and with nowhere to wait sort of hovered near the bar being jostled by staff as they delivered food and drink. A couple was leaving by the window so asked for that table and was told they would try to seat us there. Was shown to a very average table instead and no further comment from staff but seemed the only difference being one table was wiped down sooner. A walk in shortly after us (no reservation) was immediately given the table which was disappointing as I had booked a month in advance. We ordered quite quickly after being seated but just drinks took about 30 minutes to arrive (which meant 45 mins since arriving) and by the time food (even the olives!) arrived it had been an hour. I mentioned it had been an hour and was able to witness a heated discussion with the waiter and the chef thanks to the view into the kitchen. Things happened like wine being delivered to the table but not opened for another ten minutes. Food was fine but nothing amazing, particularly after waiting so long. Had to wave someone down for the bill which came to £144 for two, and having worked in hospitality for years would have expected it to have come with an apology given we sat without food, drink or water for at least 30 mins, and waited for food for over an hour.

The interior is nice although nothing to write home about. The cocktails were good, well presented and reasonably priced and there is an extensive menu including all the classics. I had a very decent Martini followed by a Margarita. One of my friends had beer and the selection was ok, but we would have liked to see more craft ales. We did not eat, but had some ok nibble and dips. These were just ok but nothing outstanding. Overall this is a good conversion and I hope it is a success for them. Would have like to have seen a more innovative menu for drinks and food as there are now the people in the area who would appreciate a more...

With mind blowing cocktails and incredible dishes which we had tried as I could say my favourite was the lamb chops which was coated in pistachio and the amazing cherry sauce combination was insane cannot describe how delicious it was!! There was a variety of different cocktails I’ve tried the ‘Passionate Touch’ and ‘The Gysa’ which was incredibly delicious especially the after taste it leaves isn’t describable you just need to try. The service was also great and efficient, everyone that was working was really happy and polite. Cannot wait to visit again and try the rest of the dishes and cocktails!!! Thank you...
