Down the old Northwood main street, which has subsequently over many years been super seceded by Green Lane, lies the hidden gem of Northwood cuisine. Having ordered take away from this small discreet restaurant, and having been thoroughly impressed with the quality, my partner and I decided it was time to try the in house experience.
On entrance, we were instantly met by a very well presented young lad who quickly seated us by a well presented table by the window. Drink menus were provided and time given to make a decision. Whilst waiting for our drinks, we decided to try something different from the usual Korma and tikka Masala and "mix it up a bit". On ordering, a well dressed man, who i can only assume is the manager as his suit was different from that of the waiters, was very attentive, polite and actually engaging, rather than just noting the specifics of the order. He was happy to recommend based on other items within the order, and even offered to make a dish that we had concoct whilst ordering.
The wait for the food was enough to enjoy a drink and some poppadoms whilst enjoying each others company on a well earned Friday night’s dinner out. During this wait, it was evident from observing people entering the premises that the Bina is a well loved local delight. The staff were most welcoming and often, seemed to be on familiar terms with their customers. It was clear that the people entering were returning, having enjoyed the experience on a previous occasion.
The food itself was everything you would hope for. Great taste, well presented, well cooked, not to cold or hot, great portion sizes, but not so much that you over eat and still have some left over.
Again, staff were attentive and happy to have a polite, appropriate level joke with customers, not enough to be intrusive on an evening, but enough to acknowledge each other whilst clearing a table or presenting the food.
We stayed there for around two hours, which is longer than our usual outings that last around an hour or so. The cost of for the meal was just under £50. A fair price for the quality or food, service, atmosphere and drinks. Here lies my ONLY criticism. The cost of a popperdom is a little steep. 60p per dom and extra for the dips and with such fantastic credentials, I don’t see the need for such charges. However, do not let this detract from a fantastic experience.
In Summary.
Great food, even better service, good prices very...
Read moreThis used to be a fantastic restaurant - had been using for over 20years. But with the change in management & the chef all I can say now is AVOID. We all ended up with food poisoning!! We noticed when eating that the food did not look or taste the same as normal. Within 12 hours all members of my family - incl children - were violently ill. Contacted the restaurant & politely explained the problem. We recieved shouting in return. Told to contact the next day for a refund. Contacted the following day & as soon as my husband said his name the shouting started. I went to collect my refund as they had said. I was polite & discreet in the restaurant. As the lady there passed me my refund she stated we were not to go there again & was aggressive. I stated that we wouldnt & had reported to environmental health (I did raise my voice at this point). The male manager then stepped in and literally chased me out of the restaurant into the street demanding I speak to him. For my own safety I...
Read moreBina Tandoori is the one of the best Indian restaurant in London. I’ve had many takeaways and dined in multiple times over the last 3 years. The food is top quality with delicious meat dishes and side options. The chef was skilled in accommodating all my needs especially delivery spicy food which I love.
The restaurant is beautifully designed with plenty of space to bring friends and family for a fine dining experience. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. The manager is kind and accommodating.
If you love spicy food I would recommend chicken tikka biryani and naga wings but all the food on the menu is delicious and caters for everyone.
If you order too spicy your going to feel it, it’s not food poisoning. If you can’t handle spice order something less spicy or ask the staffs about recommendations. Highly recommend...
