Delightful & charming French Bistro serving traditional classic French food. Opposite Gypsy Hill train station (easy to park). Wonderful neighbourhood restaurant - just go! Genuine French food and absolutely delicious. Mussels were lovely, beef Bourgogne highly satisfying, and crème brûlée was a real proper joy. Went on a quiet Wednesday night and was somehow both special and relaxing. Take a date, take your mum, take friends! Came out comforted, full and very impressed. The 2nd little french bistro, Chez Yves in Penge has a new sister, Chez Lucie, in Gipsy Hill. Very similar menu. I had moules, in garlic and cream sauce, with frites, followed by the most delicious, light apple crepe. Excellent cooking.
