Crystal Palace Museum — Attraction in London

This is a fascinating museum that brings the history of the iconic Crystal Palace to life. I visited on the first Sunday of the month to take advantage of the free guided walking tour, and it was an absolute highlight. The knowledgeable guide offered in-depth insights into the palace's history, its stunning architecture, and the significance of the surrounding park. A decent small museum with lots of history about Crystal Palace. It appears to be run a small group of friendly helpful volunteers who like the idea of keeping the history of the place alive.

Free to get in and well worth a visit if in the area.

Lots of stands and photos that both give an idea of the garndure of the building itself and some of the things that it was used for. Even more interesting for me were the few pictures that they had of the fire and the destruction of such an iconic place.

Brilliantly done for such a small building. Lots of interest to see.

The tour from the museum is well worth the small fee (under £5 each) taking in much of the upper grounds, our tour guide was very enthusiastic and had a great sense of humour, as well as being incredibly knowledgeable about the history and surrounding area and very open to questions about both, which made the tour all the more enjoyable.

Be sure to wear comfortable footwear and clothing for the weather as this does take at least 2 hours, plus you'll want to explore the rest of the grounds and the small museum once the...
