Serve High-Quality Coffee: The most important factor in any coffee shop is the quality of the coffee. Make sure to source high-quality beans and offer a variety of brewing methods to cater to different tastes. Consider working with local roasters and experimenting with different blends and roasts to keep customers coming back for more. Create a Cozy Atmosphere: A great coffee shop should be a place where customers feel comfortable and relaxed. Create a warm and inviting atmosphere by using soft lighting, comfortable seating, and natural decor. Consider adding plants and artwork to give the space a personal touch. Offer a Variety of Drinks: While coffee may be the main attraction, it's important to offer a variety of drinks to cater to different tastes. Consider offering a selection of teas, cold drinks, and specialty drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, and mochas. Provide Fresh Baked Goods: Pairing a delicious cup of coffee with a fresh baked good is the ultimate indulgence. Consider baking your own pastries in-house or partnering with a local bakery to provide customers with a selection of fresh treats. Read moreUnpleasant experience. Ordered one of the porridge options (as listed on the chalk menu). A curt response: "We don't have porridge". Since there were a couple of other options with granola: "Ok, do you have any granola?". "Yes, but we can't do it." Me (confused) "I don't understand..". Server mutters to colleague: "It's a topping. It comes with yoghurt". Me: "That's fine, I'll have granola, yoghurt, fruit and honey". Him, putting through till: "Ok, granola, fruit and honey". Me: "Yes please, with yoghurt". Him (massive eye roll) "It COMES with yoghurt. That's the main part." Seriously???!! Stupidly went back in to order an iced coffee after the food. Asked if the frappe had milk in: "No but we can add it". Me: "That's fine I'll just have an iced latte." Him "We can put milk in the frappe". Me: "Sorry, I'm confused, what exactly is the difference?". This time he actually walks over to his colleague (who also giggles), nudges her and starts sniggering, before picking up a jar of instant coffee: "This is used for the frappe". Sorry but not sure it's a universally known fact that a frappe is made with instant coffee (don't think that's the case at some of the chains), and even if it is, it's completely unnecessary to belittle...
Read moreVisited Brikki early evening on the 13th of August to collect a coffee for myself and friend who needed a pick me up, the barista added on a £1 tip when my back was turned. I thought it was odd that the price went up, and then discovered later (once I checked the receipt ) that a non-consensual tip was added! May be just a quid, but it’s not the point! Cheeky for them to be adding on tips without even asking, deceitful, shady and quiet practice. I went online and added feedback to the management team, but they never bothered responding and I never heard back from them. The manager mentioned none of her staff would do this, effectively calling me a liar. Mediocre, luke warm coffee in my opinion - it appears these dodgy practices are overlooked, upheld and protected by management. I won’t be...
