I feel compelled to give this bakery one star, even though I genuinely believe they deserve less. I ordered a cake that was supposed to resemble a specific design, but I received a complete disappointment, reminiscent of a cheap cake from a discount store like Temu. Communication with the staff was severely lacking; I took the initiative to visit the bakery to discuss my order personally and placed my request directly with the man I spoke to. However, when issues arose, he completely ignored my concerns and denied any responsibility, claiming I hadn't ordered from him at all—even though he was the one who took my advance payment.

His priority seemed to be safeguarding his interests rather than being transparent about their difficulties in replicating the cake decoration. If I had been informed about the challenges, I might have opted for a different cake instead of sticking with their version like ordered from Temu, which turned out horribly. The final product bore no resemblance to the original design I requested. On top of that, I had explicitly asked them to ensure the inside of the cake was moist yet so dry that it was nearly inedible. Overall, my experience was thoroughly disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a...

After a long Saturday out and about with an older friend we popped into here for a bite to eat. We asked the server what the soup of the day was and he said golden vegetables. We ordered 2 soups and marinated chicken baguettes as the server could not tell us more about the chicken! We were then served with packet cup a soup, yes the ones sold 4 in a box for a pound. The soup are priced £3.50. We complainted to the server who confirmed they were powder and went on to say this was the norm at all cafes. We disagreed as we had eaten not too long ago at a cafe near by fresh soup. He then said it was head office that made these decisions but change was soon coming. The baguettes had wilted and blackened lettuce and tomato. We had planned to try their cakes but was too disappointed with our meals. They refused to take the cost of the untouched soup off the bill or offer any compensation. The server was quite defensive. In this cost of living crisis it was disappointing for my older retired friend which was to be a treat for her but was served with a salty powdered cheap stuff! Not only were we lied to but we were robbed. It felt like something to be reported to the police. That's how badly by older friend felt. Will never...

Nice place, it does look aesthetically pleasing but left somewhat underwhelmed by the food I was offered. I booked a gift bag through the app too good to go. It does precisely say that what I could get is “freshly made sustenance such as salads, pastries, quiches or cake”. The first thing I saw in the bag was rice with some beans/sauce. It was definitely not fresh, definitely unappetising. I also got two sandwiches and two croissants. A decent amount of food but I couldn’t eat any of it. I hate leaving negative reviews but I am usually quite pleased and can find at least one unexpected delicious item that makes the experience worth it. Cafe noir was not one of them. Make your messaging clear to your Too good to go customers, they also deserve to be informed correctly about...

I ordered their kinder bueno milkshake for take out, they were kind to offer me a sit while I wait. They cut out the plastic in half since it was raining for the kinder bueno not get wet in the rain, it was a nice and thoughtful touch. It’s alright to go after school, it has a calming feel inside. My downside is that, after I finished a bit of my milkshake the straw seems to have this aftertaste, like wax maybe? I’m not sure. I didn’t see quite well where they put their cups and straws but I do hope they see this and try to fix that issue. If I could stay long, I wished I also try some of the other pastries they had. Also I could never complain to them face to face that’s why I’m doing it in this review.
