If you love nasi lemak, please visit. If you visit, please order nasi lemak.

The nasi lemak here is so exceptional that I’d revisit just for it, even if I were in Malaysia. Every detail and ingredient are perfect; the fried chicken is expertly marinated with herbs and spices, fried to order. The ikan bilis is fresh, light, and crispy — a rarity in London. The peanuts are freshly fried and exude a delightful fragrance. The coconut rice is fragrant, fluffy, and has the perfect consistency, a true celebration of coconut. Even the boiled egg tastes like egg, and the cucumber like cucumber. The homemade sambal strikes the right balance, not overly sweet, and you can ask for more without extra charge, a generous touch unlike Roti King.

Undoubtedly, this is the best nasi lemak I’ve ever had in the UK, with no competitors in sight. (I have had plenty)

I also tried their laksa; while not as rich and aromatic as I hoped, it’s decent. The homemade soup base sets it apart, and the abundance of good quality toppings earns it a point. (And it won’t leave you parched like Roti King’s.)

While not the most affordable Malaysian restaurant, it’s arguably the most cost-effective. They’re generous with toppings and portions and maintain the highest quality. The service is also commendable — attentive and friendly. I hope they continue this standard, and I wish them...

It wasn't that busy on a Sunday afternoon about 2pm. We made a reservation just in case but there were plenty of tables available.

The servers were really nice and on top of cleaning plates, getting our order, and getting our bill (along with the card machine straight after which sometimes takes forever in some places 🤣)

All the dishes we ordered were fantastic! We started off with a little chicke Satay. Pretty good taste but could be a little more grilled and flavoured. The star was the peanut sauce. It was lovely as it had a great balance of all favours and a nice spice throughout. Wish I could have bottled up that sauce for home.

We also got the Kerabu which was a mango salad. Very refreshing and had some proper bite to it spice wise with the chopped up green chillies

Finally we had the Nasi Lemak with Rendang. It was superb. You get a lot of the smaller things like the anchovies + chilli, sambal and coconut rice so it's good for getting a range of sides. All the small dishes were delicious and when mixed together it's such a great mixture of tastes, spices and textures (especially from the anchovies). The rendang was fantastic as well. Great rich flavours.

Very much enjoyed my meal here! It's quite expensive though. I think it may be better to come here in a group so that a range of things can be tried. Would...

I had such a wonderful experience at SUDU from food to service and atmosphere.

It's a great café style layout, simplistic and cosy feeling. Also gives me a bit of a vibe like I am dining in Asia, which is an added bonus. Lighting is great, quite intimate and warm, so you can go there with friends, family or a date.

Service, staff are very friendly, approachable, and engaging. It's nice you can have a great conversation with them and Interact. They are also very attentive and do occasionally check in to see if you're enjoying the food (also timed well not when you have a mouthful of food in your mouth, like some restaurants may do... You get the picture).

The menu is great, I was torn between the breakfast menu and the main menu, so I tapped into both and decided to go for a wide range. A warning, if you like variety and want to try a bit of everything you either have to go a few times or take a few friends with you so you can share more. There's a good selection of mains that comes with rice or noodles and dishes that you'll have to order noodles and rice on the side. A good selection of side dishes and of course roti is on the menu.

They do have a small amount of bakery options on there too and hope to explore the dessert...
