Beautiful and deeply charming rare community-run non-municipal park, with a suitably dangerous concrete bowl for skating and BMX. Meanwhile is also the home of one of the longest running carnival steelbands, and the park connects to "the pit" or the "hall of fame" graffiti park at the foot of trellick tower, and connected to the great western canal towpath, with its diverse and bohemian community of live-aboard narrowboats. We have some truly great parks in W11, but meanwhile is uniquely wonderful. I like it so much that I have volunteered my services without reservation, and have plans to run some serious fundraisers - gentrification and austerity has been tough on all the public spaces, and meanwhile has had to be rescued from the brink of financial extinction...
