Cafe Royale — Restaurant in London

went this morning to this place for breakfast, but unfortunately, I didn't get none. I've never seen such poor service at this volume . Sat at the table, the lady came over and slapped 3 meuns on a bread crumbed table. she then said she would be over to clean the table. I was thinking at this point wouldn't have been better to clean table 1st or even hand meuns to us. came over with cloth and swiped all crumbs over my partner. I ordered 3 meals but got 2 when I asked where mine was. she told me I only ordered 2 I told her no I ordered omelette chips and 2x same breakfast she argued with me and told me it would take 5mins she told me her English not good but then tried to tell me I said she can't speak English I simply said 2 breakfast in English means 2x I was so angry I cancelled my breakfast. went to pay, and I explained I wasn't happy with the service and wouldn't come back. Women was so rude that she started shouting, lying acting like an ally cat. she was taken out to the back. the manager told me she has been working at this place for over 10 years and not had a problem I find that very hard to belive told me what makes me so special I couldn't belive what I was hearing. safe to say I wouldn't go back or...

Have read many of the reviews. People seem to like the food, but no one has remarked about the prices. Used to go here a lot years ago, when the prices were reasonable and good value, however no longer visit as for the price of a roast dinner for a couple of quid more you can get a far better quality roast in a restaurant or pub. However what really did it for me was the price of their cakes, £6:30 for a moderately sized slice of bog standard production cake is nothing short of daylight robbery. I now go to a nice little cafe nearby to me. The food is excellent and you can get a good size slice of home made victory sponge for £2:70. What a difference....

So this place has awesome food. Can’t knock it at all!!

But that’s the only thing I can rave about. Service is poor. Today wait 15 minutes to place an order. And even then the waitress was sooo rude. The music is on level 12! Sooo loud. You can’t talk to the person next to you. I asked to turn it down and was greeted with the dirtiest look from a member of staff.

There was 1 staff member I couldn’t moan about. She had ginger hair. She was brilliant. The rest should be thrown on the fire!

I don’t think I will be going here again! Which is a shame. Coz if it wasn’t for the service. I’d rate this...
