Casa Mia in Hatch End is an absolute culinary delight, offering an unforgettable dining experience that tantalizes the taste buds and transports you straight to Italy. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by the charming ambiance, and it only got better from there.
We started our culinary journey with the Funghi Stilton and Bruschetta di Montagna for starters. The Funghi Stilton was a delightful surprise, marrying the earthy flavors of mushrooms with the rich tang of Stilton cheese. Each bite was a burst of savory goodness that left us craving more. Equally delightful was the Bruschetta di Montagna, featuring a harmonious blend of fresh tomatoes, fragrant basil, and a drizzle of luscious olive oil on crispy toasted bread. It was a refreshing and vibrant start to our meal.
As we moved on to the main course, the anticipation grew, and we were not disappointed. The Spaghetti alla Bolognese was a true standout. The perfectly al dente pasta was generously coated in a rich, savory Bolognese sauce that left us wanting more. Each forkful was a perfect balance of flavors, and we couldn't help but indulge ourselves in this classic Italian comfort dish.
Next up was the Spaghetti alla Carbonara, and it was equally impressive. The creamy and indulgent sauce, complemented by perfectly crispy pancetta, was a symphony of flavors that danced on our palates. It was a dish that truly exemplified the artistry of Italian cuisine.
Throughout our dining experience, the attentive and friendly staff made us feel right at home. Their knowledge of the menu and passion for the cuisine added a special touch to our evening.
Casa Mia's warm and inviting ambiance creates a perfect setting for a memorable meal with friends or loved ones. Whether you're a fan of traditional Italian fare or seeking something new and exciting, this restaurant is a must-visit destination for food enthusiasts. We left with satisfied hearts and full stomachs, eager to return and explore more of Casa Mia's delightful offerings. Without a doubt, this hidden gem is a shining star in the culinary landscape...
Read moreMy wife and I went there for a meal with two of our closest friends expecting a really Nice meal. How wrong we were!!! We ordered the garlic bread with tomato sauce. The garlic bread was actually a small pizza with tomato sauce which wasn't bad, but the tomato sauce was tasteless. Our next course were a filet steak for my wife with zucchini and I ordered the chicken Milanese with spaghetti in tomato sauce. I was really looking forward to the milanese but it was awful. The chicken, if you can call it that was thin, pink and rubbery, almost looked like sliced ham. It was inedible and I sent it back. I ordered the liver instead and that was not good either. The plate came with a few sad looking fried over potatoes, one sad looking piece of cauliflower and some carrots and beans. There were two very thin slices of liver covered in this watery gravy and slimy sliced onions. The liver wasn't that lean and was not great quality. I've had liver before in other restaurants and they are thick pieces of lean liver. This was completely the opposite. The desert was actually Ok but it was very small. So to conclude, I don't think the food was freshly cooked, the milanese I can only presume was either packet Milanese because you could tell it wasn't real chicken it was reformed. My wife said the filet steak was an ok cut of beef, but nothing to write home about. The Liver was not great and the desserts so so. Would I recommend this restaurant, NO. Would I go there again, NO. It was also very overpriced for what you received. There are other, better Italian...
Read moreWith new ownership this place has gone downhill. We used to eat here 5/6 times a year, I'm not going to rush to go again. Firstly we ordered a tricolor salad which came on a bed of undressed lettuce and HALF a sliced tomato! Is that all that could be mustered up from the kitchen? The chicken kiev was dripping in oil and they charged almost £16 for that, which is at the very least distasteful. My wife used to have the ravioli in large fresh sheets, but the ravioli that came was bought from COSTCO as I have used them before at home. The managers attitute instead of apologising or letting us know before hand that it would not be the same as previous just said 'we can't get it'. Appaling attitute from him, but it's ok for him to charge £12 for that dish?? The pizza quality has become terrible, the pizza that came out last time I visited looked like it had come from a supermarket. At least the chilli oil is the same. On top of it they add a 10% service charge even though the service was at best slow even though they were busy. The prices have gone up but the quality and service has gone down. I feel like we were ripped off when we went and the managers attitute was quite arrogant, especially with the ravioli.
If you are visiting again we wary that the management have changed hands and the cost cutting is...
