Me,hubby and our daughter went there first time earlier on tonight. Perfect, secure parking. Marius he was an excellent gentleman,he was positive and gave us time to order,no rushing order,We ordered a 3 course meal,3 soups and "platou" the food, presentation, service was excellent, all our soup bowls where empty, thanks to chef and kitchen staff, you must try palinca and visibata before you dig in,plus Romanian beer. The family platter you must try, comes with mici(traditional Romanian sausage),pork shoulders, and all the sauces and mustard ,2 types of sides,we ordered Dauphines potatoes and vegetable rice. My daughter absolutely loved the homemade leonade, which was made to order, asking us how sweet ,or not, which I find excellent,as in other places they just make you a lemonade without asking you the options. Lastly we had our pudding called 'papanasi" it is 2 in a portion (big one),that is why we only ordered one portion for the 3 of us,is sweet pastry, either with chocolate or fruit filling or you can have 2 mixed and it comes with really nice cream. 100%we deffo go back. Really nice atmosphere, excellent food, customer service, highly recommend and price wise is good Shame I don't know how to...
Read moreThe service was very slow and unorganized. Our friends at the table received their mains 1+ hour after their starters. Food has no seasoning. Portions are quite small for what other Romanian restaurants offer at a similar price. Most of the things are barely warm or hot from a microwave. A lot of the things on the menu are missing. The bathroom is not much better than a public toilet.
The only reason why I gave them 2 stars, it’s because the staff was actually quite nice and helpful, but the administration has no idea of how to satisfy their customers and make them loyal.
And by the way, this is not a one time experience. It’s our 3rd time coming back, but probably our last. We love Romanian food and we go to Romanian restaurants all the time. For Romanian standards, maybe the service might seem good, but for local standards it’s not more than 1 out of 5...
Read moreWe went there for lunch on Sunday at around 3pm. The place and atmosphere was great so was the staff but we had few hiccups with overall experience. Ordered starters, wine and mains. When reading this, bare in mind restaurant opens at 2pm which leads to question. One of the 2 starters was not in stock so we swapped for another. Wine we selected? Was not in stock and we selected another which was a good suggestion from waiter. One of the mains beef with pepper sauce? Also not in stock. In the end we ordered 2 different stews but received 2 of the same and barely warm. Possibly prepared on previous day and microwaved. Staff was very friendly and price wise it was good but the little ordeal with food was a bit disappointing. Ps. Menu has spelling errors and not dishes are translated so be ready to Google...
