Chef's Treat Breakfast Lunch Dinner — Restaurant in London

Use to love this place but earlier in the year I got food poisoning from a take a away we ordered from here. At first we didn't realise what it was from, untill a month later had the same order (chilli con carne on jacket with salad) and was ill again but not as bad as first one. It really effected me and 7 months later I'm still struggling and now with lactose intolerance, which doctors say is very much an effect of having really bad food poisoning. It may go away in time but not been a pleasant time, and had to completely change what I can eat. The only reason I'm only mentioning this now is because I'm so fed up. You'd be surprised how many foods have dairy in and if I don't think, or realise and only need a little taste then I'm ill, tummy pains the lot. Not nice.

It's a shame because this place use to be our favourite lunch treat. And I never had an issue with them before this (and previously had my fav chilli on Jacket potato option...

I have been to this place a couple of times. The most recent experience I would say was not great and below average. I had ordered a full English with egg well done. Not only was the egg runny but they have stopped serving bread with it. That is now extra. A full English without bread? I know in some places drink is additional but definitely not bread. They should have put the prices instead of taking it out. The worst bit was that none of the items were piping hot only lukewarm to I would even say cold. Which is not acceptable. I used to use this cafe a lot, but it stopped opening on a Sunday, but has recently started opening again on a Sunday 3 weeks ago now. I always find the food well presented and fresh, also staff very friendly. I would recommend this place. I had a veggie breakfast which consisted of fried eggs x 2, tin tomatoes, bubble and squeak, beans, mushrooms & 2 slices bread and butter, and a latte coffee, my wife had a Ham Omelette, salad & chips at a cost of £14.50p.
