VISIT DATE: SUN 16/06/2024 VISIT TIME: 13:00 - 14:15 Went to Quequers Corner Brewers Fayre for a meal with my parents for Father's Day, but have been many times in the past as well as it is local to my parents. As it was a Sunday, they had their carvery on for £11.49 per person, but they also offer a full menu for those who don't want the carvary, including vegetarian and kids options. We opted for the carvery. Meat on offer was gammon, turkey and beef. All were very tasty and good size portions given. Veg on offer was carrots, peas, cauliflower, parsnips, roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, mashed swede and carrot, another potato dish and there was also macaroni cheese, batter puddings and gravy. I found the veg to be quite cold today and the gravy was very thin, but over all, was still very tasty and great value. We all had tap water to drink, but they have refill soft drinks available, as well as a direction of drinks at the bar. They also offer desserts, which are very nice, but we didn't have anything today. Restaurant is situated next to a Premier Inn, so there is plenty of free parking (you have to input your car registration on a screen inside), as well as being easily accessible via public transport. Inside it's a good size, with lots of tables so they can accommodate large groups and they also have a bar area and pool table for those just wanting a drink. Toilets are situated upstairs, with an accessible toilet at ground level. Cleanliness varies, mainly because of the clientele.

Last time we arrived here we had a booking that the management ended up messing that up so we had to go somewhere else to eat a year ago. Finally, this time they didn't get it wrong and we were able to go to our family reunion meal out for 10 people. The service was fast for us considering how many people on our table. Food tasted great, I had the Classic Cheeseburger and an Appletiser drink. Polite and funny stuff and they knew what they are doing. The chairs feel comfortable enough too, to sit on for a good few hours. Clean tables. Spacious place with plenty of tables. 3 hours free customer parking, just need type your REG in on their screen once you get into the restaurant entrance.

Brought my parents last night so we can try British foods but boy we were so disappointed. We had to wait almost 45mins just for our main meals to arrive. Ordered peppercorn sauce for the steaks but they said it was not available but was not told at the bar when I ordered. Fish and chips also has no tartare sauce when it was served also said they had ran out. So we have to enjoy our dry meals without the sauce. The fish looks like it was just frozen and was fried. It was so soggy. We paid £80 for our meal which is really not worth it. We will never come back again to this place.

Today my husband and I had the worst carvery we have ever tasted which we was very disappointed as very regular users of Brewers Fayre eateries. We travelled for half an hour to eat at the Brewers Fayre establishment Dagenham due to our local Brewers Fayre being temporary closed for lunches. We arrived parked entered the premises after waiting for about 5 minutes we were shown to our table ordered our food and drinks at the bar in the usual manor giving them our table number. We proceeded to the carvery with our dinner tickets after getting our tasteless Coke zero cherry from the refilling station both my husband and I took the large option carvery the man serving asked what meal I would like (there was only a little bit of beef or gammon at that time) I said beef he gave me 2 small slices off beef full of gristle and fat then had the cheek to ask me if I wanted another slice ( well I paid for large) he gave my another small slice the same as the previous two he then asked me if I wanted roast potatoes and instead of me helping my self he put the squashed roast potatoes on my plate why? He then asked my husband what he wanted he said beef he did not even cut it he just plonked it on his plate and gave him his roast potatoes in the same fashion as myself. We went to get the vegetables there was not much there hardly anything in the bowl most of them were nearly empty and not refilled with a few being empty then it was off to the gravey well that was empty so had to stand there waiting for it to be refilled there was a queue just for the gravey. The mash potatoes were tasteless the carrots were not nice the sweed and carrot wasn't great either the roast potatoes tasted like the frozen kind not nice the peas were like bullets rock hard and tasteless the Brussels tasted rotten proper horrible taste to be fair the beef would of been lovely if we had proper slices and mine not full of fat and gristle After returning home after leaving quite a bit of food on our plates my husband stomach was really upset to what he had eaten at your...

We all ended up with parking tickets

( apart from one of us because they was so close to the vehicle in front id assume they could not read the number plate via the camera )

as we over stayed over welcome at a restaurant / licensed bar ( but only for 3 hours , you have to pay to stay longer , really !!)

Reason behind us getting parking tickets , one person got stuck in traffic 25 mins late , the meals came to us staggered , two of the meals had to be sent back as one was under cooked and the other was over cooked , two deserts ordered at the same time , one turned up 25 mins after the initial desert was received and to be honest we was not clock watching as we where socializing as you do when you go out for a get together.

Needless to say we have all appealed the parking fines and have contacted Whitbread as both Brewer's Fayre and Premier Inn which is on this site are both owned by them , but unfortunately they where not able to help with the matter as the company responsible for issuing the fines is not managed by themselves but by a third party but told us to appeal directly ------ taken from the Parking Eye website

We manage a wide range of different sites by the rules set out by the landowner , urm hang on what the hell.

so far from the appeals basis

appeal successful you don't have to pay appeal declined you have to pay appeal declined you have to pay we need proof that you was using the restaurant to follow to follow

A little tip for Brewer's Fayre when entering the number plate to clarify that you are eating at your restaurant / licensed bar maybe you should notify that the all though your are dining at our restaurant / licensed bar you only have a minium stay of 3 hours and then you have to pay for your car park to be able to use our facilties .

Look at google for brewers fayre parkingfine / charge , you might be very surprised at the amount of complaints

Now im not sure if once the fee is paid that whitbread get a tasty cut , but would it really...

Not a great experience. The first time my wife, child, and I came at around 11am, we were sat down, and 15 mins after we've ordered we were told that they're doing maintenance/cleaning and that they won't serve food for a couple of hours. I feel like they didn't want to start cooking since the place was empty and it was not worth it for only 3 people.

We gave it another shot just over a month later. Place was almost empty, around 11:30, but the only staff working there was nowhere to be seen. We were finally sat down. We were going to get an English Breakfast so went to the bar and ordered. Was told that they stopped serving English Breakfast at like 11. What pub stops serving English Breakfast?

I have then seen an offer on the menu in which if you signed up, you were given a code that you could use for 25% discount. Signed up provided name, address, etc etc, but no email received.

Ordered from the value menu. Was told that the value menu only applies from like 1 o'clock, which was about 30-40 mins from then. So had to pretty much order the exact same menu but from the full price menu.

I have then mentioned that I've received no email even though I've signed up. I was told that I need it. I said I didn't receive it and it isn't my fault. I was told that it was not her fault either.

Ordered the food, sat down, and took like 20-30 mins for a burger and gammon steak even though the place was empty. By the time it arrived, it was during the time when the value menu was applicable, but I had to pay full price just before.

The "spicy" burger was full of a spicy mayo sauce and couldnt taste anything else.

I have then received an email with the code, a day after the experience. It is clearly made so that you pay full price since you're already there, but made to come back for a small discount. Scammy approach.

Very disappointing....
