Today I had a very unpleasant experience at Costa in Heston West.
The gentleman on the till apparently couldn’t make up his mind if they were accepting cash or not. He accepted cash, then not 5 minutes later decided he couldn’t forcing me to pay on card despite having legal tender to pay for it. Very rude manor in which he also relayed this information and full of attitude.
Having then ordered (ruby hot chocolate) he also neglected to inform me that they had no whipped cream. Proceeded to make my drink without telling me this information, passed me my drink without cream. I then asked for whipped cream, which is when he made a face and said they are out.
I am a regular customer of costa, and also choose it over Starbucks but after today’s attitude I am extremely disappointed.
In this current climate, with a global pandemic and lots of companies struggling to get income and customers through the door this attitude is just not good enough. If your employees feel that they don’t want to be at work may I suggest they stay home instead of ruining customers day with attitude and rudeness.
It’s not about the fact they had no whipped cream, however would have changed my order upon knowing this information. It was the rudeness, facial expressions, huffing and general attitude that I find offence in!

The muffin and cappuccino arrived swiftly however there was a mixup with the iced cappuccino and the staff looked disorganised as they were loudly shouting “chocolate on cappuccino” to about 3 people who were waiting for their drinks, as if it was first come first serve. While I was there waiting, they also mixed up 2 other customers orders.
The lady who took my order just gave the iced cappuccino to someone else, you’d think they’d remember who ordered the drink a couple minutes ago! Even after the mistake they weren’t prepared to say sorry and Repeatedly blamed me and my mother for not reacting to their call of cappuccino when she’s looking at all the customers. They kept saying “it’s not our fault”, well then whose fault is it? I thought it was “the customer is always right”. Very rude service and maybe you should train your staff on how to...

"i am serving a customer" i was told.I could see that and thats why i said "when ready" Left them on the counter and returned to get them later. Approached again to get two more toasted sandwiches(in hand) and she just blatantly ignored me while making a coffee(after looking at me and the sandwiches) .Could have said yeah leave them there,i will do them shortly etc.Multi task? Made me wait a few minutes and then looked at me and said "sorry,cleaning the oven now". If this is the staff you employ good luck.I have stayed here for 8 weeks and will not be using costa coffee again.
