Costa Coffee — Restaurant in London

We came into this costa shop at 5.17pm as I googled that it all closes at 8pm. We went inside and there was a customer inside ordering and then sat themselves into the seating area inside the store. We then proceeded to order after them and said we would like to eat in. To this the barista responded saying no eat in aloud at this time because we close at 6pm. I responded surprised and said I thought it was 8pm as said on google, she responded saying it hasn’t been updated. She said to us I can give your food and drinks in takeaway though there was 40 mins to closing time. We agreed anyway as I came to treat my two year old to cake with her aunties and uncle. She said we can only sit on the bar stool area despite there already being customer further inside the costa shop in the more comfortable seating areas. Again we agreed. We sat down for coffee and saw more customers come into the shop and took their seats in the areas we were not allowed to go because they said they’re “closing” soon. I felt discriminated and disrespected, I feel that it was because of my Islamic dress code I was being treated differently to the privileged white people that entered the coffee shop. Went today and they had run out of my usual soya milk and the barista didn’t offer much information about the alternatives options I had. I had to ask several questions as I hadn’t tried the other milks so then I asked if I could have it remade if I wasn’t happy and the barista said no, then finally offered me a sip of the alternative so I could order. Once ordered I noticed foam on my latte (which is not a latte might I add) and asked if I could have without foam - when I got a very dramatic EYE ROLL and was told it was already made...then the barista went on to scrape the foam off. At this point I had to ask if the barista was having a bad day and apologise for any inconvenience I caused.... I really felt like a huge BURDEN. I have left this message gender neutral as the relevant party should know this level of service is not ok but I don’t want to get anyone in trouble. The Food is amazing and coffees. But the staff are very rude and not helpful and when I was standing outside the shop for the staff to let me in as there was no customers at all inside. They were talking laughing having a chit chat and 1 member of staff put her hand out and said wait as they continue to laugh and talk for 5 mins. When they decided to let me in they were rude towards me and i felt very discriminated because of my color of my skin as they gave attitude and didn't tel me if my food was ready and coffees.
