Costa Coffee — Restaurant in London

We recently visited a Costa location and were disappointed with the service we received. The staff did not provide a warm welcome, which is unusual for Costa establishments. We placed an order for two beverages, a breakfast wrap and toast.

I specifically requested one of the drinks to be served in a takeaway cup, as my son cannot use a glass. However, the drink was initially prepared in a glass and cream was added. After reiterating my request, the drink was transferred to a takeaway cup, but unfortunately, the cream was also poured into the cup. Additionally, the marshmallows that accompanied the drink were placed in a glass, which was not practical. I paid extra for a shot of espresso to be added to my hot chocolate, but this was not done, although I was charged for it. All the drinks appeared to be under filled.

The new manager Elsa is very rude and abrupt. Since she has started working here, it has almost put me off buying my morning coffee here before I start work. I have been coming to this store on a regular basis since it opened, and have never had this attitude from any other staff member, all of the staff are friendly and polite. When I first encountered Elsa, I thought possibly she was having a bad day and finding it hard to adapt to managing such a busy store, however her attitude and miserable persona still remains the same! Small but perfectly formed branch of Costa. This branch manager obviously takes great pride in this store. The place is spotless, the staff super efficient. The young man who served us was likely quite new to this role but was polite and efficient in his job. The branch manager makes a stonking flat white too. My daughter is on the spectrum and therefore may take her time choosing, they were patient and polite. I got confused adding my Costa points via my phone app, the other staff member who was training the new guy patiently...
