The Bistro Cafe — Restaurant in London

Food is alright, the service from the waitresses was very poor, they are unfriendly and unapproachable. The first time I tried to dine here I walked in, a lady looked at me and pretended not to see me, I then walked to the counter and was not acknowledged again so I left. I gave it a second chance and managed to be seated this time round, however I don't think this establishment likes racial diversity as the treatment I recieved was very different to that of majority of the other customers as was that of another customer from my observations, it was like a burden to be served, and to ask to pay the bill. When arrived at the Bistro cafe the Staff were very unwelcoming with no smile and very poor customer skills with a Working Man using the cafe. The cafe had a very Middle class atmosphere with customers of that standing clearly getting better treatment over myself and my colleague. The food was extremely poor and was of a way below average standard with a cost of £5.30 for a Breakfast Baguette and only getting 1 sausage, 1 egg and 1 piece of bacon inside. My total bill came to £13.80 for 2 and 2 cans of drinks, so very over inflated. Not somewhere I would recommend for anyone wearing work clothes. Excellent service always, but food quality not keeping up with the times... v poor fry up today: E.g. really cheap thin greasy soggy bacon in a pile E.g. mushrooms soaked in veg oil not butter, oil slick on plate E.g. bubble/squeak greasy and unpleasant, just tired fried mash; it's a classic, don't bother if that's the best you can do But the eggs were good! 👍 Suggest chef goes to Greedies in Isleworth or Fallow Deer in Teddington to see what better quality ingredients and cooking can do. Doesn't have to be that good, as different market, but needs to be better than this or I'm gone... pity, service is fast, v clean place, lovely...
