Before we ordered, I calculated the price of the food we would order and over the phone, they charged more than expected. For more than £40, we received tiny portions: the almost £4 rice was enough for a one and a half servings; the paneer “tikka” was sad and flavourless, sitting sadly in a small tray; and the £8.10 lamb Nariyal Pani was basically little lamb pieces drowning in a mid curry. Read moreThe Saqui is a real delight, it may not suit all but without doubt offers fantastic Indian cuisine, it is unpretentious and I suspect not likely to enter best curry house competitions. I have visited the Saqui a couple of times and have thoroughly enjoyed the food and am looking forward to further visits to sample more from the menu, I believe the restaurant is family run and offers home cooked favorites as well as established dishes.
