I have to be honest here, everything that was served, and provided in these boxes, isn’t really a unique concept. There are a lot of contemporary food places being opened (by young entrepreneurs, which is a good thing) nowadays that, they all provide the same food. All with similar names, and offering grub like this. I.e grub spot, munch spot, munch box, munch plug, burger joint etc. It’s all the same. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the pizza, although it was slightly stale, the doner was flavourful and the bbq chicken strips/ goujons were mediocre. The chips are different every day, one day you get curly fries and today I got straight fries. I don’t think the fries are in-house made, but could be wrong. Tasted like Iceland chips. The cheese on the chips, tasted ‘fake’, a good foodie will know what i mean by fake cheese. I like the idea of the dips being presented on the side, but remove one of the creamy sauces, and add a sweet option, for people that don’t like mayonnaise. 2/3 of the dips were mayo based. Finally, the burger. My burger, the onion smash, was unfortunately grey. My understanding, meat burgers should be brown. I have taken pictures and videos, and I am happy to send this over to management if needed. It was thick, and a big portion, you get a good amount for your money, but the flavour wasn’t there for me personally. The coleslaw was great. Also, I would generally like to add, I think the logo, name, packaging and presentation is what sells more than the food itself. The food is too common, with all the young people opening the same restaurants everywhere. - although this is a take away. Major con - they only take cash! Also you don’t really need to pre-order, they have food available on the day, on both occasions i went. Neither were preordered. I think this is just blasted on social media, as a way to drum up customers. But no, I wouldn’t say you need to preorder. There was also never any queues when i went twice. Both at peak...

Crave Joint is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a lot of delicious food at a great price. I always go for the Crave Box, and let me tell you – it’s absolutely jam-packed with tasty treats. The portion sizes are huge, so you definitely won’t be left hungry. Inside the box, you get a Donner (which is full of flavor and has a nice spicy kick – if you’re not into spice, it might be a bit too much), any burger of your choice (I highly recommend the smashed onion burger), 2 chicken strips, cheesy chips, and a slice of pizza (either pepperoni or margarita).

The Donner is incredibly tasty, with plenty of flavor and a nice heat to it. The burger is juicy, cheesy, and melts in your mouth – it’s always spot on. The chicken strips are sticky, flavorful, and super satisfying. The cheesy chips are loaded with both cheese and chips, so you get the perfect balance of gooey and crispy. As for the pizza, I’m not normally a big fan, but the slice they offer is actually surprisingly good – the cheese is so creamy and melts beautifully.

What’s even better is that the owners of the restaurant started from a kitchen and now run one of the best takeaways in London, in my opinion. All the meat is Halal, which is great for many customers. If you’re planning to pick up your food, I recommend calling about 20 minutes in advance, as that’s how long it usually takes for your meal to be prepared.

The restaurant is on the smaller side, with only a few tables, and it can get cramped when it’s busy. It’s definitely more suited for takeaway or quick bites rather than sitting in.

Overall, Crave Joint is a must-try if you want a ton of delicious food for your money....

I rarely give 5 stars but this one truly deserves it. Waited 15mins for the order but it was well worth it. Been looking for a steak place around Newham and finally found this spot.

Ordered crave Steak and Chips with mushroom sauce (NEW dish on the menu) £14.99 and a Double cheeseburger £2.99

Steak 🥩 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Argentinian rump steak cooked to perfection 🤌 Medium rare Juicy Tender Best in Newham or maybe east London. I’ve been to other places in east where they serve steak but none even come near as good as this.

Fries 🍟 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ They were cooked to perfection; not too overdone not too raw This type of potato was something different and I liked it.

Mushroom sauce 🍄‍🟫 ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A bit sickly due to the sweetness but not something I’d have with steak. Should’ve got the gravy option instead

Double cheeseburger 🍔 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Decent sized meat patties Adequate melted cheese Soft and melt in your mouth buns Juicy, thoroughly cooked meat

Customer service 💁‍♂️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - Called beforehand to enquire and the gentleman was affable and helpful.

CONS: NO METAL CUTLERY. Had to use a wooden knife and fork. Would’ve preferred some mustard on my steak

Overall, WOULD recommend and definitely will be returning.

The owner even said he prioritises quality over profit as the Argentinian steak is an expensive commodity for him but...

Everything about this place is amazing. The best doner I’ve had and the skin on fries are so so tasty. The double beef burger was soft and juicy and the bbq strips are so big and filling. Amazing amazing food and the drink selection is so so good. Woild 100% recommend. Will be back very soon
