This has to be hands down the best burger place i have ever been to in London. Im not going to hold back leaving a negative comment, in fact i will. This place is so good it's making me poor!
If i find a place i like, before reviewing them i have to give it a few tries in case the food or service i received was good/bad by chance.
I have now visited Meat up at least 3 times and have held back on reviewing them until now. I need to be sure of what i am writing/recommending before leaving a 5 star review.
Meat up have been consistent throughout with their great tasting burgers, steaks, wings, sauces, dips and portion sizes, ufff. I cant talk of a single item because everything ive tried has be just great!
When you place your order make sure you go earlier than the scheduled time as their service is very quick and efficient. If you can, consume your food quickly whilst its hot especially the meats or they'll go hard.
Try out their chimchuri sauces and wings with your burgers, it's a great combo.
This is a dark kitchen, they're so good people come down in their droves to pick up the food. If you don't fancy picking up your food have it delivered to you on UberEats or Deliveroo.
Their prices are exactly the same online as the prices in store, you're only paying for delivery. I don't know of any other place that keeps their prices the same on UberEats, this is a first and it is testament to them. They dont need your money they're more focused on getting their great tasting food out to you. I am from Forest Gate, i should be out of range, but no, they deliver out into the wilderness! Ufff
If you do drive there be careful, parking is tight and the area is not lit well. They are under the railway arches and in an obscured corner. If you're driving park away and walk it there.
They have a big team cooking the food fresh in your presence which is always on point 👌🏽 This place is a takeaway only so dont expect to sit down. In fact this business model works best as if it was a sit down restaurant it wont be able to meet demand.
MashaAllah this is one, if not the only best and successful food businesses i know of in London, not just in East London!
Unfortunately their prices are also consistent like their food. Some would argue great tasting food needs great prices... yes i agree but its making me poor!
Open up a premium 'Meat up membership', I'd happily sign up if it gets me discounts and free delivery to Forest Gate!
Of all the reviews i've left on Google, this has to be the best burger/steak place ive been to.
Impeccable food 👌🏽 you will not be dissapointed.

Read moreDear Meat Up Management,
I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a recent incident at your establishment, Meat Up. A few weeks ago, I had the unfortunate experience of consuming food from your restaurant that resulted in severe food poisoning.
On the day in question, I ordered chicken from Meat Up. Regrettably, a couple of hours after consuming this meal, I fell seriously ill, experiencing symptoms consistent with food poisoning. The ordeal I went through was not only physically distressing but also emotionally draining.
I immediately contacted your restaurant to report the incident, and I was relieved to hear that the shop owner acknowledged the mistake. According to his admission, the chicken I had consumed was undercooked, which was a direct violation of proper food safety standards. He explained that due to high customer demand, multiple chickens were cooked together with a timer set for a shorter duration than usual, which led to the undercooked chicken being served.
I have substantial evidence of our conversation, as I had recorded my discussion with the owner using another phone, where he admitted to these lapses in food preparation.
What deeply concerns me is that, despite the owner's initial acknowledgment of the problem, there was a severe lack of follow-up communication from him or your establishment. I informed him that I was experiencing severe health issues, including bleeding, as a result of consuming the undercooked chicken. However, there was no further communication or assistance offered from your side.
This incident has not only had a detrimental impact on my health but has also left me with a profound sense of disappointment in the customer service and responsibility demonstrated by Meat Up. It is crucial for food establishments to uphold the highest standards of food safety and to take immediate action to rectify any lapses.
I expect a prompt and comprehensive response to this complaint, outlining the steps you will take to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future and addressing the lack of communication and follow-up on this matter. Additionally, I hope for an assurance that my experience will be taken as a valuable lesson to improve the safety and quality of your food services.
I believe that by addressing this issue appropriately, Meat Up can regain the trust of its customers and continue to provide safe and enjoyable dining...
Read moreI ordered a takeaway from Meat Up in Bow after seeing their 4.8 rating on Google and had high expectations. Unfortunately, it turned out to be very disappointing.
I was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting around 35 minutes. I don’t mind waiting if the food is good — but sadly, it wasn’t.
We ordered: Caramelised Hot Dog + Fries (2 with burger sauce, 1 without) 5 Lemon Hot Wings 3 Chicken Strips
The caramelised hot dogs were extremely sweet — all three of us struggled to eat them. We usually love hot dogs, but these tasted more like a dessert than anything savoury. The sweetness completely overpowered everything. We eventually wasted them.
The chicken strips were cold and soggy, like they’d been sitting out for a while rather than freshly cooked.
The hot wings were very bland — no real flavour at all and definitely no hint of lemon as advertised.
The chips were so heavily seasoned that they were actually difficult to eat. It felt like they’d just thrown a load of seasoning on without any balance. We had to throw them away.
It seems like they are getting very busy, which is good for business, but it’s clear that the quality has dropped. Maybe they were better when they first started, but based on this experience, the food didn’t match the high Google reviews at all.
The best thing about Meat Up was their packaging.
I really hope they can get the standards back up, because the idea is good — but at the moment, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Dear Meat Up Management,
Thank you for replying to my review. I appreciate you taking the time to explain and the text message.
I really understand that mistakes can happen when it’s really busy, but sadly it wasn’t just one item as well, the overall food quality was disappointing.
By the time we got home and tried the food, it was too late to contact you directly.
Thank you for offering to replace or refund the order. However, the experience has made me feel that the high demand might be affecting the standards that made you popular in the first place.
I hope you can fix these problems, because your business has great potential and I will give another try soon soon.
Thanks again for...
