Chingford, Do not go there,it is absolutely worse place to go,except for the music !!!
We went there and the food was tasteless, everything from frozen,we were overcharged,on top of that the waitress who is the owner’s daughter wants to add additional £ 20 per person for the music after we were sitted and without telling us in the beginning ! She doesn’t give us a menu in the beginning, doesn’t understand what she is serving, doesn’t explane what we will get, then the hidden charges start to come…. Nothing greek, nothing that could be eaten except for the tomato and cucumber, fish was soggy, octopus was crap, absolutely nightmare . Then £375 overcharged came and as we were 9people they think it might go through . The new owner doesn’t know how to make a business and want to become rich for one day. My guess is this restaurant will close very soon as it was almost empty on a sat night, because of the prices, food ,the whole service, hidden charges…..I am so sorry but will never ever go again and do not recommend this place in Chingford ,nothing greek there apart for the name, all the customers leave the restaurant with a...
Read moreA new restaurant, we decided to try it out for our friend's surprise birthday. Having been in the industry for 30 years. It could be very good but needs worning at. The fixed meze was average at beat. Dips pitta etc were fine. Halloumi NO lounza. Loukaniko was as dry as anyrhing definitely reheated. Tiny portions of egg/courgette and bulgur. Main meat platter, dry meat, reheated and or kept warm made this very dry. Red packet size of McDonald's chips were served for 4 people. They meat was not good. Slow serving drinks. Apparently 3 staff members short. The music was far to loud. There should be a small interlude to allow people to talk to each other and be heard. Also we found it on the expensive side. The fixed meter @ £45 was not worth. Beers were expensive. All in all a very average experience. Want to give it another try but not sure I will. Plenty of...
Read more5 Stars for A Much-Improved Visit! This was our second visit to Cypriot Heights, and we're so glad we came back. The first time, the food was was reasonably priced but just okay as the main chef, Michael, wasn’t there, though the lovely owners made a great impression with their warm hospitality and genuine care for feedback.
This time, with Michael in the kitchen, the experience was completely different. The food was plentiful, well cooked and delicious. It was also fantastic value for money as my hubby and I ordered unlimited breakfasts with my toddlers ‘mini breakfast’ coming free. Furthermore, Michael’s passion for cooking really shows, and he also took the time to chat with us, creating a relaxed, welcoming vibe.
Michael recommended we return for meze and bouzoukia night, and we definitely will. A big improvement from our first visit, and now a...
