Sadly I have received diarrhea from D&D once again. Last time was about 1 year ago and I thought it safer to stick to simple dishes like soup which are amazingly tasty. But I bought steam mix veg about 5 months ago which when I opened one could tell it was off. Last week I bought fish and rice and peas as I thought food safety must have improved with the upgrade of the shop but the gravy was very slimy. At closer inspection I thought it must be because of the okra and ate it all. Next day the smelliest runniest No.2 ever, clearly from bacteria!! As much as I see them working hard and usually produce good food, they need to sort out their food storage management. FIRST FOOD IN FIRST FOOD OUT and store things at correct temperatures...

I would have given 1 star if the rice n peas wasn't any good. That's unfortunately the only good thing I can say, the wings are always overcooked and dry so are the festivals. The wait time is crazy long. The last time I went inside they had a queue of 6 people with 1 lady serving, I waited for 10 minutes by that time I was 5th in line no exaggeration. Then the 1 Lady serving started a whispering conversation with another member of staff, this other member of staff should've been quick to help serve but no they started a good ol chin wag. BAD FOOD BAD ATTITUDES
Do not eat food out of the counter...its not fresh...sometimes has fur growing on it! This place is so hit and miss...it's for sure one of the cheapest Caribbean takeaways in South London but, cheapness can cost you dearly 😔. The customer service is non existent, they move slow...and they act like you are not paying for the food you are ordering ( enters eldest staff member that doesn't crack a smile). If you want to take a course in 'how not to deliver customer service' go and order a take away here. I'm all for supporting my own...black owned business!
