Lovely little cafe, had a really nice flat white here and a nice brunch for 6.50 of poached egg on really nice granary bread with avocado and crispy bacon. The bacon could have been a bit more flavourful but that's probably because I'm used to the unhealthy smoked kind. It all smelled amazing though. There was also good music and cool illustrations featured throughout the place. Recommend when you're in the area or as a quick pit stop on the way to the Horniman museum.

About the coffee: it's rather good, probably the best in the area. They also offer good breakfast options. The place itself is a tad small but super cosy, particularly in winter time. What's the catch? Maybe its own success, it easily gets very crowded and then the quality of the service plummets. If you not only care about the coffee but the surrounding experience as well, it'd be better to avoid the super busy times

A true gem, tasty pastries and perfect coffees. The atmosphere is also just so lovely both in the summer and winter with the outdoor space and the cosy room downstairs. But by far the best part are the lovely staff that work there, all of them are just so enthusiastic and friendly and just good energy and always make me smile!! Whoever’s hiring for st David’s did so perfectly xx

Place looks nice, staff is happy and prepare exceptional cofee. Customers are quiet and contribute to a relaxing atmosphere. It seems they take care of the decoration as well and I think they included otom elements o the ornaments.

Food seems to be nice and freshly made ...I,ve just tryed the banana cake and it was delicious.

Only problem is that in Spain we are use to pay very little for cofee/breakfast... Most of the places will charge you 1,20€ for a cofee, 1€ for a croisaint and have breakfast deals for 2,50€...so you van find a lot of professional s with not specially high wages enjoying the most important meal of the day in company.

I understand though, the business model of cafe-places in London is different, based on delivering a higher quality service for a higher price...i do prefer a more democratic pricing policy so this point is the only thing that separates a lot of cafes...

Cozy little coffee shop, probably the best in the area. Espresso quite good, mostly balanced flavors. Unfortunately not that impressed with the batch brew even though I'm really happy they started serving it as it's a real quick fix. Might need to adjust the brew ratio / coarsen up the grind as usually the brew is more on the bitter side. Food lovely and they even do dinner nights with guest chefs! Definitely something to book more often! One thing I would see improving is the ventilation system - they do great cooked breakfast but insufficient ventilation in the winter means that whenever you pop in for a take away coffee you leave smelling of fried bacon. Not great, especially if you're vegetarian :/ Tends to get busy over the weekends but worth the wait if you're into...

Yesterday I ordered a mocha, and had to wait 10 minutes before I got it. Today I tried to order a mocha but was told ‘we don’t do mochas’. Why? ‘Because the coffee is expensive.’ I asked for a hot chocolate instead. It was foul. Made with ‘cheap chocolate powder’ admitted by the barrista himself, whilst checking his phone. After I told them I wasn’t happy with it. No refund was given, nor any offers to make it better. Side note: The avocado toast I ordered tasted good but only had avocado on half of the Sourdough. And for £7 I was expecting more. I left...
