Tips: Parking you can pay £3.10 in the shopping centre for two hours or the same amount for three hours under Sainsbury’s. Decent food, if you can get any… We dropped by on a Sunday afternoon during lunchtime, but there was hardly any food available. Throughout the two hours we were there, very little was restocked. I own restaurants myself, so I understand that costs are high. However, if you’re running a buffet, you need to replenish everything, not just the cheap fried items. Take a look at the pictures attached to this review. The sushi counter was consistently empty and rarely refilled, while the fried cheap stuff was always available and frequently restocked. Now onto the barbecue. The meat was really good. However, the staff weren’t very attentive. I normally prefer being left alone, but this time it was a bit much. The grill needs changing after cooking a few rounds, or the bottom gets burnt. It took several attempts to get the staff’s attention. They also kept switching off or turning the barbecue to a low heat. I’m sure they’d say it’s for health and safety, but I suspect they just didn’t want us cooking (and eating) too quickly :-) The desserts were disappointing as well—too sweet, and the fruit was full of seeds. The apples were more like cooking apples. I didn’t even bother with the bubble tea after experiencing the dessert. Finish off the whole experience by staff telling us that the next party was coming in soon and we had to leave, when we left not only no one has arrived, but they had 10 or more empty tables 😂 TLDR: paid £30 just to eat chips and spring rolls, got ignored by staff, won’t be returning. Also take reviews on TikTok with a pinch of salt. Tryout JRC global buffet for better food in my opinion

Sushi bar and hot stew are good Our bbq was turned off by accident w/o being noticed by us ; hence why the meat was initially cooked very slowly (not as sizzling as usual bbq I have experienced elsewhere). Only after an hour or so, one staff came over and told us to turn it on! No short ribs, snow beef less type of good premium meat as many influencers promoted back in July! Ordered 2 Bubble teas, one was served with wrong flavour (the staff took it back and wanted to re make the correct one; I stopped him since my daughter already had some sips, he was telling me they will still remake the correct flavour which they didn’t in the end); and the other one was classic dark sugar bubble tea but my daughter could only taste milk, and it literally looked like a cup of white thing!! I was initially given a bill charging my 13 years old full price and the staff or manager later reduced it to £20 after I queried it and mentioned my daughter is 13 and below 155cm height! Some good stuff: Braised pork tasted really nice! Authentic Chinese homemade dish! Pickled vegs were really tasty! No free parking and not ULEZ diesel cars need to pay as it’s ULEZ zone.

I wouldn't say is amazing, it properly just above average overall experience. It is the first time visit the place, it's quite clean and service is okay. But the food definitely need improvements. Bbq experience: The meat selections are good, way better than the seafood selections. The options with the seafood need improvement from options choice and preparation, the squids didn't clean at all, look like it just come straight out from the package, the squid cuttlebone and organs (basically if you want to know what's inside of the squids looks like), that's really put me off eating the meal. Don't think is good idea to have shell scollops in this kind of bbq styles, as is not easy to get it cook properly. The prawns and vegetables are fine, there is not comment on that. Sushi: The taste is blend. Cooked dish options: I know there are only have few tables at the time we went, but didn't mean the options need to reduce some pots are empty or only have very small portions left in the pots.

I visited JRC Express in Bexley for the first time last Thursday after seeing a lot of hype about it online. Unfortunately, the experience did not live up to expectations.

At first, the service seemed welcoming. A man greeted us at the door, and another young man explained the buffet and Korean BBQ concept, which sounded interesting. However, things quickly became uncomfortable. The same man who greeted us at the door stayed around our table the entire time, setting up the BBQ and seemingly observing us. It felt intrusive, as if we were being monitored, which made it impossible to have a private conversation or enjoy the meal.

When it came to the food, I was deeply disappointed. The sushi and tempura prawns tasted off—the prawns, in particular, had a strange paste-like texture inside, far from fresh. The salmon also didn’t taste right. The meats for the BBQ looked dry and sticky, as though they had been left out all day uncovered. This made me lose my appetite entirely.

The physical setup of the restaurant didn’t help either. The chairs were short and far from the tables, forcing us to lean forward awkwardly to cook or eat. It was really uncomfortable.

To top it off, the overall atmosphere was tense, as the older gentleman seemed to be constantly reprimanding the younger staff member in front of us. The bill came to £71 for two people (including just water and Fanta), which felt overpriced considering the poor food quality and uncomfortable experience.

I’m not sure what the hype is about. While the service was attentive, it was excessive to the point of making us feel uneasy. The food wasn’t fresh, the setup was uncomfortable, and the atmosphere was far from enjoyable. I wouldn’t return or...

Decided to try this place after if finally opened after a year or so of being closed. And there was a £5 off per person sign when we walked past. But unfortunately didn't get this offer as I didn't book in advance and they didn't want to apply it for a first time customer because I noticed discount wasn't applied after paying. Unfortunately the food wasn't for me and I didn't like the grilling of meat but wont be reducing stars for this as it was my first time trying this type of food.

I'll give stars for clean restaurant and nicely decorated as well as generally friendly staff

But I'm reducing stars for these: -The grill was either too hot or too cold. Food either burned even if we tried turning often or it didn't get cooked until they came and adjusted the temp. Despite seeing our food burn, no guidance was given on how to cook it properly and it was our first time. lack of labels or wrong labels. Sushi had no labels and I didn't want to try incase it had something that I don't like. Some items were placed with wrong labels. Deserts were very very bad. The cakes were dry. Ice ream had no taste or sweetness and there is a lack of choice as well when it come to deserts. Only small section with few items. -5% service charge is applied to bill automatically even though I hadn't noticed it would be mentioned anywhere. And it's a buffet, no particular service...
