We got scammed, came for the Lunch lottery on a Monday for Lunch before 5pm. Rolled a 6, then rolled 5, then rolled 6. A total of 17 rolled in order to get free bill, you have to roll 16, 17 or 18. They refused to let our bill go for free, so we still had to pay full price (This is an edit to respond back to their response.) Thank you for replying, but I need to clarify my experience. The sign on your door did not state any condition about needing three people for the offer. We came in good faith, saw the advertised âLunch Lottery,â and were given the dice to roll. At no point did your staff explain it was âjust for funâ or that we would not actually qualify. That led us to reasonably believe we had a genuine chance of winning the free meal.
Iâd like to clarify my point. The sign outside did not mention the â3 or more peopleâ condition, which is why we felt misled. We werenât told at the start that our roll wouldnât count only after rolling were we told "It doesn't count.â
I understand promotions need rules, but clear terms should be displayed upfront to avoid confusion. Dismissing my feedback and making it personal doesnât change the fact that the terms were not visible on your sign. Hopefully, you can take this on board and make the promotion clearer for future customers.
This is why I feel the promotion was misleading. If clear terms had been displayed from the start, there would have been no confusion or disappointment. Also when I asked one of the waiters if this is Pakistani food they said yes, but it was apparent afterwards this was Indian cuisine. I was confused as this restaurant shares the exact same name and similar logo to Dawat restaurant in Tooting which has a completely different atmosphere, and more variety of cuisine...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dawat Bar and Kitchen, and I can honestly say it was one of the best Indian dining experiences Iâve had in a long time.
From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between cozy and contemporary. Warm lighting, tasteful decor, and a welcoming staff set the tone for a memorable evening.
The food was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors. The butter chicken was rich and velvety, with just the right hint of spice, while the lamb rogan josh melted in the mouth. We also tried the tandoori platter â a sizzling array of perfectly grilled meats and vegetables that showcased the chefâs skill with traditional techniques.
Vegetarian options were just as impressive. The paneer tikka was a highlight â smoky, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And donât even get me started on the garlic naan â warm, fluffy, and addictive!
The cocktails and bar offerings also deserve a special mention. The mixologist clearly knows their craft â creative, well-balanced drinks that complemented the food without overpowering it.
Service was attentive but never intrusive. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations based on our tastes.
Final verdict: Dawat Bar and Kitchen is more than just a restaurant â itâs an experience. Whether you're a fan of traditional Indian cuisine or looking to explore bold, contemporary flavors, this place is a must-visit. Iâll definitely be...
Read moreDawat Bar and Kitchen completely exceeded my expectations! From the first bite to the last sip, every moment was a delightful celebration of Indian cuisine done right.
The atmosphere is chic yet inviting, with a modern design that still hints at traditional Indian charm. Itâs perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. The vibe is lively but not too loud â great for conversation and relaxing with friends or family.
Now, letâs talk food: absolutely phenomenal. The menu offers a fantastic mix of classic dishes and innovative creations. We started with the street food-inspired chaats â tangy, crunchy, and packed with flavor. For mains, the chicken tikka masala was divine, and the dal makhani was rich, creamy, and full of depth. Every dish was cooked with care and came out hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned.
What really stood out was the attention to detail. The staff was incredibly friendly, offering great suggestions and making sure we were comfortable throughout. Even small touches â like the presentation of the dishes and the timing of service â showed a level of professionalism thatâs hard to come by.
Drinks from the bar were another highlight. Creative cocktails infused with Indian spices and ingredients gave the whole experience an extra edge. Highly recommend the mango chili margarita if you like a little heat!
In short: Dawat Bar and Kitchen is a culinary treasure. Incredible food, top-notch service, and a warm, elegant atmosphere â I canât wait to come back and try more...
