We got scammed, came for the Lunch lottery on a Monday for Lunch before 5pm. Rolled a 6, then rolled 5, then rolled 6. A total of 17 rolled in order to get free bill, you have to roll 16, 17 or 18. They refused to let our bill go for free, so we still had to pay full price (This is an edit to respond back to their response.) Thank you for replying, but I need to clarify my experience. The sign on your door did not state any condition about needing three people for the offer. We came in good faith, saw the advertised “Lunch Lottery,” and were given the dice to roll. At no point did your staff explain it was “just for fun” or that we would not actually qualify. That led us to reasonably believe we had a genuine chance of winning the free meal. I’d like to clarify my point. The sign outside did not mention the “3 or more people” condition, which is why we felt misled. We weren’t told at the start that our roll wouldn’t count only after rolling were we told "It doesn't count.” I understand promotions need rules, but clear terms should be displayed upfront to avoid confusion. Dismissing my feedback and making it personal doesn’t change the fact that the terms were not visible on your sign. Hopefully, you can take this on board and make the promotion clearer for future customers. This is why I feel the promotion was misleading. If clear terms had been displayed from the start, there would have been no confusion or disappointment. Also when I asked one of the waiters if this is Pakistani food they said yes, but it was apparent afterwards this was Indian cuisine. I was confused as this restaurant shares the exact same name and similar logo to Dawat restaurant in Tooting which has a completely different atmosphere, and more variety of cuisine such as Nihari

As I've been liking the foods I've been ordering from this restaurant on Deliveroo, I decided to visit the restaurant when a friend asked to have Indian food. It did not disappoint and was better than the delivery foods! Very authentic Indian food. We ordered a chilli garlic Mogo, Mughlai Kadhai Gosht (slow cooked lamb curry), paneer dum biryani, and peshawair naan to share among the two of us. These were too much for us and we had enough to take away for another meal between us! I loved the crispy chilli garlic Mogo and the flavour was fantastic. Just the right level of spice! The soft and tender lamb curry went really well with the paneer biryani and peshawair naan. Very fragrant and well seasoned rice, also came with a yoghurt sauce. Yum! The peshawair naan however was not my favourite as they had raisins in them...they were slightly less sweet than the others I've had which was a plus. As we went around 2:30 pm on a normal weekday, it was pretty quiet. We were served right away and received very attentive and friendly service. I also liked the spacious dining environment. The portion sizes were larger than what I usually got when ordering from Deliveroo. All of these plus a mango lassi came to around ÂŁ41. I will definitely come back again for more authentic Indian foods! Highly recommended.

We arrived on a Friday evening with no reservation. The kind gentleman who attended (and throughout the evening) us found a table for the three of us with a promise to return within 1hr30m; all fine by us. The three of us sat near the main entrance, at the front of the restaurant. We ordered beverages, followed by starters and mains. All was attentive and prompt with no further delays or reminders. Our starters were beautifully cooked and flavoursome. Our mains were also nice, full of flavour and served hot with no rush and arrival in good time. Whilst we dinned the live music was in full-flow! Disclaimer if you are sat in the front of the restaurant, this can be a tad loud and you may have difficulties talking amongst yourselves. Aside from this a good eatery and worth checking out! I would advise booking in advanced as we previously attempted to dine here but this was fully booked (on a Friday evening).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Culinary Gem – Authentic Indian Flavors with a Modern Twist!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Dawat Bar and Kitchen, and I can honestly say it was one of the best Indian dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance struck the perfect balance between cozy and contemporary. Warm lighting, tasteful decor, and a welcoming staff set the tone for a memorable evening.

The food was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with authentic flavors. The butter chicken was rich and velvety, with just the right hint of spice, while the lamb rogan josh melted in the mouth. We also tried the tandoori platter — a sizzling array of perfectly grilled meats and vegetables that showcased the chef’s skill with traditional techniques.

Vegetarian options were just as impressive. The paneer tikka was a highlight — smoky, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And don’t even get me started on the garlic naan — warm, fluffy, and addictive!

The cocktails and bar offerings also deserve a special mention. The mixologist clearly knows their craft — creative, well-balanced drinks that complemented the food without overpowering it.

Service was attentive but never intrusive. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations based on our tastes.

Final verdict: Dawat Bar and Kitchen is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Whether you're a fan of traditional Indian cuisine or looking to explore bold, contemporary flavors, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be...

Dawat Bar and Kitchen completely exceeded my expectations! From the first bite to the last sip, every moment was a delightful celebration of Indian cuisine done right.

The atmosphere is chic yet inviting, with a modern design that still hints at traditional Indian charm. It’s perfect for both casual dinners and special occasions. The vibe is lively but not too loud — great for conversation and relaxing with friends or family.

Now, let’s talk food: absolutely phenomenal. The menu offers a fantastic mix of classic dishes and innovative creations. We started with the street food-inspired chaats — tangy, crunchy, and packed with flavor. For mains, the chicken tikka masala was divine, and the dal makhani was rich, creamy, and full of depth. Every dish was cooked with care and came out hot, fresh, and perfectly seasoned.

What really stood out was the attention to detail. The staff was incredibly friendly, offering great suggestions and making sure we were comfortable throughout. Even small touches — like the presentation of the dishes and the timing of service — showed a level of professionalism that’s hard to come by.

Drinks from the bar were another highlight. Creative cocktails infused with Indian spices and ingredients gave the whole experience an extra edge. Highly recommend the mango chili margarita if you like a little heat!

In short: Dawat Bar and Kitchen is a culinary treasure. Incredible food, top-notch service, and a warm, elegant atmosphere — I can’t wait to come back and try more...
