I ate at demo cafe once over 3 years ago and was terribly disappointed to be rudely spoken to, rushed and undervalued as a customer along with a fellow staff member and about five students from my previous workplace. This week based on a co workers suggestion that we try it again, I went for lunch at Demo Cafe and boy am I glad we did! Straight away the service was friendly with the waitress seeing to us swiftly and then the waiter chiming in with a few jokes and a little conversation. We were shown to a table and offered tea. We asked for oat milk but they didn't have any and were very apologetic. In fact, they were so disappointed in themselves for not having any, the boss put his coat on and went to the shops, bought oat milk for us and gave us a cup of tea on the house! They also had honey, which was a great suprise as I'm more often than not disappointed to find an establishment has no honey. The food came quickly, I had a full English type set and the girl had poached eggs on toast with beans. My breakfast was very good, hash browns soft and crispy, eggs done well, toast nicely done, bacon a little over done but okay and the sausage was a frankfurter which I didn't expect, I would have preferred a proper sausage but it was nice change. Her eggs were perfectly poached and shaped, toast and beans were excellent too. Our teas were spot on and the price wasn't bad at £14 in total. All in all, great service, good food, decent prices. 4/5

If you like a proper greasy spoon this is your place. V cheap. Quality fry up. Just missed the papers for the day but we were a group so not the end of the world. Highly recommend for a proper English breakfast.

Had the Chef Special, super filling and I would say really good English breakfast. Food was fresh, friendly chef and nice ambiance. Tea was good too! They have good prices! Highly recommended!

A lovely family-run cafe. I eat here regularly at lunchtime and bring my kids at weekends. I feel very welcome and relaxed here and really enjoy the food. The food comes fast too which is really handy if you are in a rush.

I'm vegetarian and go for the vegetarian breakfast most of the time, otherwise the omelettes or jacket potatoes. The breakfasts come with tea/coffee and toast and are so are...

Absolute gem of a cafe! Spotless inside, food served quickly, loads of tasty options and proper coffee. There are 3 different set vegetarian breakfast options too! Best part is the family running it are very friendly and smiley, nothing was too much trouble. Just under £10 each for a massive meal and a hot drink. We will...
