Read moreIt's our local park and it's a shame that it really hasn't been well managed by the local council. The play areas need immediate attention, whether that be for repairs or just general upkeep. In particular the floor in the toddler play area needs to be looked at. It doesn't help that the playgrounds are mistreated by adults and teenagers. You will often see sunflower seed shells discarded on the floor, cigarette butts, or older children in the baby/toddler play area on swings or playing football, jumping on the trampoline. I believe that the council needs to step up it's park patrols and how often the equipment is renewed or repaired. There is a play room that is managed voluntarily by a local parent. Lots of parents bring their older kids and then you are not able to play with your toddler because they are standing on swings, spinning too fast, etc. also on few occasions have met a parent smoking right inside the playground.
