We have ordered from Dragon House quite a few times in the past and have been happy with the food however we decided to order some food recently and we were extremely disappointed..
We ordered Prawn Toast which basically came out hard, cooked to the point that the toast was like rock and it had no prawn on there at all, we had fried Chicken Wings which were dry and stale, the rice was dry and as though it had been recooked, the spring rolls were hard and dry too..
All in all the food was so bad that we called them and all they did was come out with a few excuses but didn’t even once say that they would rectify the issue or accept that they’re at fault.. My stomach was upset the same night and it’s kind of put me off ordering Chinese food again!! What a disappointment, how can you serve food like this and think you would get away with it, its not even like the food is cheap, we spent close to £30, I hope others read this review and mention this to the person taking orders, I think the staff need to realise that when people order food they want quality and also want their money’s worth, this is daylight robbery and your making people...
Read moreThe most revolting sweet and sour chicken I have ever tasted in my life. Appalling how this kind of flavour can be served to paying customers. Was unable to eat the entire thing. I could tell by the colour as soon as I opened it when it was delivered that it was going to be horrible. The colour of the dish so dark and literally drowned in vinegar and no other flavour, not edible. Anyone who would enjoy drinking vinegar from a bottle would probably enjoy it. I'm sure other dishes are nice but I am so shocked at how this sweet and sour is being served. Very disappointed that dinner was ruined and had to order from somewhere else and spend on another meal. Also, I don't usually order chips with Chinese but fancied it today - could not eat them either as they were rock hard and cold, not even slightly warm. The sweet and sour chicken dish was piping hot and chips freezing cold so couldn't have been cooked at the same time. Delivery was extremely quick but chips were stone cold. Do not...
Read moreWe only ordered from here as Hapoy Valley was shut and I really wish we hadn’t bothered. Absolutely revolting and pedestrian Chinese food! Everything we ordered was bland and tasteless without any type of spice or seasoning. The beef in the Ho Fun and Szechuan beef hadn’t been velveted so was like chewing leather. The sweet and sour chicken tasted like it came from a Chinese food truck run by someone who isn’t Chinese and got the sauce from a jar of Uncle Ben’s, and the rice (which is so hard to mess up) tasted like nothing. Literally nothing…
To be fair the prawn crackers were ok.
Really don’t get how their rating is so high as what we received...
