I am absolutely appalled by the disgraceful customer service at this establishment. I placed an order for collection at 5:40 p.m. over the phone, and was told to arrive at 6:15-6:20 p.m. for my food to be ready. After fasting all day, I was eager to finally indulge in the much-hyped munchbox I had seen all over TikTok. However, upon arrival, I was left waiting until 6:45 p.m., still starving, and my fast was broken far later than promised. The time I was given, along with the expectations set over the phone, were completely ignored.
When my food finally arrived, I was incredibly disappointed by the quality. The cheese on the burger was stone cold, barely melted at all. The bun was stale and there was barely any sauce. The meat was shockingly bad—salty, overcooked, and full of chunks of unrendered fat. There was no lettuce, no caramelized onions, just a sad, dry, tasteless burger. The wings were even worse—chewy like rubber, with the bone itself looking purple, which immediately raised concerns about freshness. It was clear the chicken was anything but fresh.
I addressed these issues with the man at the counter, expecting at least a partial refund for the £20 I spent on such a disgraceful meal. I received 3 overcooked wings, a salty, tasteless burger, and soggy chips. The only thing that was remotely enjoyable was the sauce and the drink. To my utter disbelief, the only compensation offered was £5 for a milk cake that I didn’t even touch, nor had I received yet. When I mentioned the long wait time and the poor quality of the food, the person at the counter was dismissive, gave me attitude, and refused to offer a refund.
I traveled an hour to get here and this experience was a complete waste of time, money, and effort. I will never, under any circumstances, return to this...
Read moreAs recommended by the chef we ordered jerk bbq wings which I personally wouldn’t recommend. The chicken was pink inside and when we spoke to the chef, he didn’t give no compassion. Not only one wing was pink inside but a couple. The chef insisted that he used a thermometer and the food was fine, dismissing what we can see with our own eyes. He didn’t give not give any compensation for our experience and did not apologise once. Claimed the chicken was a bad batch too and didn’t say anything. NO ACCOUNTABILITY! To add on, his fingers were dirty the whole time. UPDATE: to reply to your comment, I can absolutely confirm what I saw. Your fingers were dirty…not to say you didn’t wear gloves but just a note to let people know what I saw. Furthermore, the wings were shared between 3 people and 2 of us saw pink meat. And I would say it’s surprising that three people couldn’t finish 8 wings but you can say what you want. Me and you both know that the wings were from your kitchen so to try and say it was from KFC is just a lie. Honestly I take back what I said about receiving free food because I wouldn’t want to eat from you again but I still believe that we should have received some sort of compensation as customers. From the way you behaved I was under the impression that you were not the owner but after finding out that you are I would strongly advise you to take accountability for your food. To stare blankly and ‘not know what to tell’ customers is irresponsible and unhelpful (your words btw!!!). I would never try to tarnish the name of a small business but I believe the service me and my friends had was not appropriate. No point denying anything, learn to...
Read moreEveryone has a dream but few are willing to chase it. This young chef refused to give up when his food truck and first dark kitchen failed.
I ordered:
Premium Ghost Box for £20, which was more than enough to split with someone.
starting with the loaded fries, these were strictly thickly cut, with a crispy outside, mega fluffy inside, covered in enough seasoning and flavour to really fill you up on every bite, to the point you start wondering if you can even finish the box alone.
the jerk BBQ wings, whilst cute in size, pack a thin crispy skin layer that's enough for the crunch between your teeth, whilst containing enough meat mixed with the sweet bbq flavour to appreciate how good protein can taste when prepped with love.
BUT! the smash burger was lacking that love with just ketchup, cheese and beef not being enough to call it a smash, maybe a fancy cheese burger at best. The meat needed more love and the buns were toasted too much, without any butter in sight.
The biscoff Milk cake was ok but needed more liquid to sit in, as it soaked it all up like a sponge, leaving you with no chance to drink the excess milk when your mouth presses down on it.
He took the feedback on board and was grateful there's room to improve
Which shows, as His hand pressed juice has a great sweet taste and is so loved that 7 shops are stocking up on them.
Plus he's nearly ready to open up his...
