Ordered last night through UberEats, what a complete disaster! Received the wrong pizza, got a margarita instead of a bufala -which is a considerable difference. Called the restaurant to see if we could get it fixed, they kept complaining the phone was dropping out (which it wasn't which became quite obvious on our hour long call to UberEats afterwards). The woman who answered the call found our order but said she had to speak to the manager. She didn't bother to give the manager any information about the problem before passing over the phone so we had to explain it all again.
The manager said he sent the correct pizzas so the UberEats delivery driver must have made the mistake. My partner, (who had to walk 20 minutes to find the driver with our stone cold half incorrect order) replied to this that the driver only actually had three boxes on him. At this point the manager became increasingly belligerent and insist we order again through UberEats and he would credit later (which would mean having to pay again including additional delivery fee, and wait for credit we didn't actual believe would be credited, no mention of refunding the additional delivery charge). Only other option he gave us, we had to call UberEats for them to deal with it. So we did the latter, as mentioned earlier that call lasted over an hour and resolved nothing but a refund on the pizza, when all we actually wanted was the correct pizza.
It wasn't until after we hung up I noticed, the black handwriting on the pizza boxes, didn't say pizza, as I originally thought, it was actually our order number. On all three boxes, our order number. So it definitely wasn't the delivery driver and definitely was the restaurant's mistake.
Thanks for ruining what had started out as a wonderful evening after a very stressful week. Wouldn't order from this selfish heartless horrible man again if he paid me. I highly suggest he watch Ken Loach's film 'Sorry We Missed You' to see what these delivery drivers already have to deal with without some over-priced restaurant owner pushing their mistakes onto...
Read moreDO NOT EVER ORDER a DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE
We used to go to Durazzo and I gotta say after our attempted delivery order of today we will never go back again!!!! We have tried to order from their website which it takes you to Uber Eats. I realised immediately the driver were going to the wrong place, called the restaurant to make them aware of the fact that the driver has clearly took the food somewhere else. To get from the other side the response of the manager, laughing at the fact than they "can''t deal with the drivers' and it was a uber eats fault and I should of deal myself with the cancellation and reorder from the website. After few minutes The Uber eats, sent me a receipt for a delivery at the wrong address, so i decided to call them again to get offered from the manager to get the order cancelled from Durazzo itself. But that final stage that really shown us the rudeness and poor customer service is when we called and decided the best way to finally get our pizza that we had all ready paid for it was a pick up. My partner spoke to the manager ,who agreed to prepare our pizzas, once got there he asked for the sack of ridiculous the manager asked if we had cancelled the order, and asked him to pay again. Furious i have Called again to say to them I have paid so you should give us those Pizzas, to get shouted i had to pay again and he wouldn t give us a free Pizza, ended with we are very busy and hunged up on me. Now I am not even sure if i will get a refound as need to deal with Uber eats for that ,plus my pizzas got eaten by someone else, and durazzo tried to charge us twice for it. Sad end of the story customers lost. No pizza. Thanks Durazzo. BAD business, poor customer service.Fake Italian restaurant . Let's hope...
Read moreIt used to be much nicer than what it is becoming. The staff is overall friendly although sometimes a little invasive when they remove your plate at the second you've finished or replace your napkin while you are still eating. I get the attention behind that to be friendly, but it makes me feel like I'm dirty or something. I should also mention that they are mostly italian and their english isnt the best of all so they sometimes get your order wrong. It happened to me twice. Normally, the food is good but many times, I have found it overly salty and it ruined it a little. I must specify the price that can be seen on the menu is still expensive, £8 for a pizza is okay, but it remain a dough and some cheese on the top, so for Turnipike lane, that is too much. If it was along Oxford Circus then okay that would be a good price. On the top of it, you need to know that you pay an extra £1 if you pay by card under £10 bill... It just shows how the owner of the restaurant obviously wants to save money everywhere. In conclusion, it is a good food, sometimes great food. Staff is overall okay. Prices are too expensive. I think it's basically getting enough customers because its the only italian restaurant...
