Farzi Café continues to remain one of my absolute favourite Indian restaurants in London, and their Summer Menu is nothing short of spectacular! My family and I recently visited and were absolutely blown away by the creativity, bold flavours, and thoughtful presentation across the dishes. It’s clear that Chef Nikhil Mahale and his team take immense pride in crafting a dining experience that is both comforting and elevated.

Here’s a breakdown of what we enjoyed:

Gupta Ji’s Dahi Bhalla Tokri Chaat – A delightful start! The soft lentil balls soaked in sweet yoghurt were perfectly balanced with the tangy tamarind chutney and crunchy tortilla basket. The chaat masala and Delhi mix added a nostalgic kick. A must-try!

Chicken Lollipop (Sriracha & Honey Mayo) – These crispy chicken wings were a hit! The chosen sriracha & honey mayo brought a perfect balance of heat and sweetness. Crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside.

Chicken Dumplings – Pan-fried and tossed in a fiery Indo-Chinese sauce, this dish packs a serious punch. The extra spiciness elevated the experience – we loved every bite.

Murg Malai Tikka – This tandoori smoked chicken tikka was melt-in-the-mouth tender. But the real game changer? That creamy, spiced cheese fondue. It’s rich, indulgent, and essential to the dish. We couldn’t get enough.

Peepli Lamb Paarcha Kebab – Sliced lamb rump marinated in fennel and black pepper, then smoked with rose petals. The result? Fragrant, flavourful, and cooked to perfection. An absolute standout.

Cornish Crab & Red Prawn Shammi Kebab – A sophisticated take on the classic shammi. The texture was spot on, and the crab mousse was simply divine. One of the more unique dishes we tried, and definitely a favourite.

Wagyu Beef Kadak Seekh Kebab – Served with a blue corn taco and chilli crème, this dish was good but didn’t wow us like the others. Still enjoyable, just a touch underwhelming compared to the rest.

Lamb Burra Chop Sizzler – Our all-time favourite, and for good reason! These Welsh lamb chops are incredibly tender, with a punchy marinade, crispy garlic and roasted cashews. Served with masala wedges and pickled chilli, it’s a full-on flavour bomb that never disappoints.

Butter Chicken Bao – Another staple we can’t leave without ordering. Creamy, rich Punjabi butter chicken in a fluffy bao with green chilli mayo, so addictive.

Mango Mastani – The perfect ending to our summer feast. This Indian sundae was bursting with freshness – alphonso mango curd, malai kulfi, fruits, ice cream, nuts and tutti frutti. Light, fruity, and beautifully balanced.

The service from Sunny and the team was once again outstanding, warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They truly enhanced our experience.

In a city full of Indian restaurants, Farzi Café stands out for its bold approach to modern Indian dining, while still honouring traditional roots. Can’t wait to come back again, there’s always something new and delicious to try!

Thank you, Chef Nikhil, Sunny, and the entire Farzi team for a...

Okay, so we were staying in Picadilly Circus at The Dilly, and this was one of the closest, highest rated Desi food places. I am always skeptical of the Desi food anywhere outside of home, but my husband was craving Desi food so off we went.

We opted for the Taste of Farzi menu, which may seem a pricey, but I assure you there is SO MUCH FOOD that it is well worth it. But not only is the quantity amazing, I was clearly shocked at how good the quality of the food was, as well. The items kept coming and coming and coming, and each of the starters were so good, that by the time we got to the mains we felt full.

The Fryums and the Chaat came first - the chaat was so well balanced, sweet and sour and the crunch from the fresh green apple REALLY set it apart. The fryums had such an amazing dusting on top of them, that even my 7 month old approved! The Kurkure Shrimp and Squid were STARS - despite being fried they were light on the palette with the punchy garlic cream being the perfect complement. The texture of the Lamb Shami was too pasty for me, although my husband loved it, but taste wise they were still absolutely fantastic. The achaari chicken came last, and seemed like such a small portion but MY GOD the punch it packed was phenomenal. I officially wanted to quit after the chicken, because I did not think it could be topped.

Then came the mains - the CTM Chicken Tikka Masala (my least favorite of all Indian food) was truly a massive surprise for me. Not your usual chicken tikka masala, this one was very well balanced and proportioned. Not too much tomato, not too much spice, just the perfect kick with the right seasoning. Chef's kiss the tawa fry was to die for. The Rara Gosht was really loved by my husband - I liked it, but the others were the real stand outs to me.

We really badly wanted dessert, but we had ZERO space. We did order the Kalamansi Mojito that I cannot recommend ENOUGH, and the smoked old fashioned that really did come smoking and was delicious. The service was so friendly, attentive and especially accommodating of my 7 month old. Everyone was super friendly and nice.

The ambience is also top notch, a real delight. I will be returning here for sure - this place is a DREAM! Highly...

Exactly what London fine dining needed! We had heard good reviews about this new upscale bar/restaurant and their experimental Indian food concept and decided to try it out for ourselves. Wow, what a positive multisensory experience! We were absolutely blown away with the variety of mouth watering dishes, all with unique flavours. We could taste the freshness of every ingredient! Farzi Cafe is a unique addition to wining and dining in London. My wife and I visited Farzi Cafe on New Year's Eve as we wanted to have some drinks and a nice meal before going to watch the London Eye fireworks. The location of this restaurant was perfect as it's a few minutes walk from Piccadilly Circus and other London attractions.

We started off the evening by having a drink in their luxurious, cozy bar area. The restaurant prides itself on it's range of signature cocktails. Everything from the fabulous cocktails, ambience setting, friendly bar staff and exuberant mixologists were fabulous! After finishing our drinks, the well spoken hostess introduced herself and seated us at our table for the evening. As it was New Year's Eve, the restaurant had a set menu. We were then greeted by another member of their friendly team who took their time to carefully explain every item on the menu. This was very helpful as the restaurant is known for their experimental food by adding their unique twists to classic dishes. As vegetarians we were very surprised with the sheer number of items on the menu. Our journey through this flavoursome menu, the presentation and the experience of waiters dribbling sauces around the food while serving was a sensory experience!

We really loved everything from the new concept, lovely cocktails, unique experimental food, beautiful décor, warm atmosphere and fantastic service! We felt the entire experience was worthy of a review.

If you're bored of trying the usual normal dishes, we would thoroughly recommend Farzi Cafe in London Haymarket.

This was a perfect fix for our taste buds and look forward to...

For what you pay, be very tactical with what you order. Let me explain. The service is indeed very good, atmosphere very nice, but you pay an extortionate amount for very average quality food (mainly the starters) . The only things that blew my mind were the biriyani and lamb shank (the mains) If you are intending on going, don’t pay for any of the snacks/small plates - they simply aren’t worth it and cost too much for the small portions. I mean that seriously as an Indian guy myself. I was really looking forward to tasting classic dishes with a modern twist or whatever their USP is, but neither the scallops, Karaage, mallard kebab (all small plates) were anything impressive. Yes they were nice, but were they worth 15.50, 15.50, and 12.50 (respectively)? No way in hell no. They tasted very average to me and failed in their execution. Flavours were fine, just nothing impressive for such a high end establishment. The mains, however, were what saved this meal for me. At £22 for the chicken biriyani and £27 for the lamb shank, I thought this was very reasonable for the exceptional taste. It was more than enough to fill me and my friend up and speaking as someone who has grown up eating biriyanis, this was the real deal. It actually would’ve just been better culinary experience (and cheaper) had I just ordered those. I probably would’ve come away with nothing but a glowing review. So, if you intend on going down don’t listen to the waiters who might tell you that you need some small plates or what not. You don’t - and certainly not for the exorbitant price for very mid tier food. Just order 2-3 mains depending on how many you are, enjoy, and call it a day. Personally I wouldn’t come back here as I don’t think they even do the whole ‘avant-garde twist’ thing that well. Ironically the best tasting dishes were the ones that were straight up traditional!
