This was probably the worst hotel I’ve stayed at in a very long time. Highly recommend avoiding it if you can! Luckily I only suffered here for 2 nights. To start off, the rooms are VERY small. The only difference between a queen room and a double room is about 2-3 feet of space between the bed and the TV (see picture/video). If you like sleeping on straight wood with little to no cushioning, then you might enjoy your sleep. Their “mattress” is a very, very, thin cushion between you and the wooden frame. Probably some of the worst sleep I’ve ever gotten. My shower also had a leak from beneath the glass door that leaked into the room itself from 2 different sides (photo attached). When I discovered this after I had first showered I went to phone the front desk to let them know…..lo and behold, there’s no phone anywhere in the rooms. The only way to communicate with the front desk about problems is to physically go to it. When I told them about it, I was told that they would put sealant the next morning while I was out because it would take a few hours to dry, okay fair enough. Except they didn’t. When I showered again the next evening, it leaked again from the same areas. I got dressed and told the front desk again and was told they were unaware of the issue and was given the same answer of we can put sealant on in the morning so it has time to dry. They offered me a change of rooms but I was checking out the next day so I opted out. Speaking of check out, not only is there zero help with luggage, but there’s only ONE elevator for the entire hotel. Which the staff also use to get to rooms. So one elevator for 5 floors of guests + staff. There’s no a/c or airflow in the hallways. So you can imagine the difficulty and frustration of trying to drag your bags and waiting in a very hot and humid hallway for the elevator that everyone is also using. In case you get thirsty in the heat and humidity inside this hotel, you are given a bottle of water in your room. Personally, my water tasted like sour milk. It was disgusting and not at all refreshing. The one and only positive I can say about this hotel is its location. It’s located about 2 min walking from Piccadilly Circus, although if it’s down a random ally off one of the side streets. Overall, if I could give this hotel zero stars I would. I have absolutely no idea how it has a 4-star designation, it’s a 2-star motel at best. If you made it this far, do yourself a favor and avoid staying here. Pay a little extra if you can and stay at an actual hotel.

Our first time in London , we decide to stay with Z Hotel Piccadily and it was best decision ever!. The staff are all very welcoming ,they speak various languages so communication will never be a problem. First of all the hotel is right next to leicester square and trafalgar square. Everything else is either 10-15 min walk or you can take metro/bus. It was so easy to get there from the airport .we just took the metro and got down in Charing Cross station which is only 5-8 minutes walk!!! .We just walked our way to Bigben and London eye enjoying the way to there. Although you can literally take the metro . Really great Location. As when we were booking the room ,we signed in to be Z Hotel Members aswell and when we checked in they upgraded our room for free as there was available at that moment! Not to mention free coffee allday . This trip was to celebrate my partner bday and i just thought of surprising her with a cake. Being together all the time it was not posible as she will know, so as we were checked in on our second day,i emailed the Z hotel reception that if i can get cake delivered to the room at midnight. I ordered a small piece of cake and let the staff handle it. Midnight comes and they were at the door with the cake and complimentary bottle of Prosseco cava courtesy of them. Just WOW! .(yes ,she was shocked!😂) Thank you very much to Z hotel staff and we know where we staying next time we visit London!!

Location is great, close to subway stations and walking distance to restaurants, parks and attractions. Staff was also very friendly. I've stayed at other Z hotels before, so no surprise regarding small rooms and perfectly fine if you're using it as a single room. Unfortunately the airconditioning in my room (and same for another room where a colleague stayed) was very noisy. It basically sounds like somebody is refilling the airco unit every 5 minutes. Switching it off via the remote only works for a limited time, after that the device will automatically switch on again. Of course things can break, so I notified the reception desk who would send somebody to check. I did not receive any follow-up and the same noise happened the second night. I'm definitely not a light sleeper, but this was cause for two bad nights of sleep. Some additional maintenance here would be great for future guests.

We booked this hotel in hopes of balancing location and budget during our trip to London. While the location is undeniably convenient—with many attractions within walking distance—our stay was deeply disappointing and not worth the $1,000+ AUD we paid for three nights.||||The room itself was very dirty. There was visible water damage, rust, and dust buildup, especially under the TV unit and inside the air conditioner vents. The overall condition of the room was extremely poor and far below even basic hotel standards.||||From the moment we walked in, we noticed a strong, unpleasant smell that lingered throughout our stay. The room layout offered no real privacy, with the toilet positioned directly beside the bed, separated only by a sliding door that didn’t close properly. The shower door also failed to seal, causing water to spill into the toilet area. The space was cramped and uncomfortable, and overall, the room felt more like a hostel than a hotel.||||We had also been informed at check-in that cleaning was only available upon request, yet we were interrupted multiple times by cleaners knocking and asking to clean the room—despite never requesting it. The walls were paper-thin, making it impossible to rest without hearing conversations, doors, and movement from surrounding rooms and the hallway.||||The laundry service, outsourced to a third party, was the only smooth part of our stay. However, collecting the laundry was another odd experience. A staff member held onto our items without explanation, looked visibly confused, and refused to speak to us directly—calling over another staff member instead.||||To make matters worse, every time we walked through the lobby, there were other guests lined up at the front desk complaining about issues with their rooms. It was clear that our experience wasn’t an isolated case.||||After our stay, we read more reviews online and found many others reporting similar problems—from dirty rooms to poor service and a lack of basic maintenance.||||In summary: while the location may be appealing, the lack of cleanliness, poor communication from staff, and overall condition of the property make this hotel overpriced and not worth the cost. We wouldn’t stay here again or recommend...

Me and my partner were visiting London for a Ricky Gervais show. We had never stayed in London before are were not sure what to expect. We decided to go with Z Hotels. Upon arrival the staff were extremely friendly and clearly outlined key information we needed during our 1 night stay. We went up to our room which was on the top floor. The room it self was actually very nice, it was small and compact but that is what we wanted. There was a nice shower and toilet and the room was clean. Unfortunately there were no opening windows but we were aware of this before we came so this is not a problem, however due to there being no opening window there was no ventilation and we relied upon the air conditioning unit. When we visited it was abut 28 degrees in London so the room was also very hot. Once we returned from the show we turned the air con on and chilled out. The TV while it did have a variety of channels many of them did not actually work. But probably the biggest frustration was how poor the air conditioning was, as stated before there is no ventilation without this but unfortunately it offered very little. We got into bed at 10PM and I had to have a cold shower at 1:30AM because it was so unbearably hot in our room and we could not sleep. After a really bad nights sleep we went downstairs to enjoy the breakfast we had paid for with our room. The breakfast was like a buffet style and there was many options, once again the staff were incredibly friendly. However the pastries we had did taste stale and we felt that we would have been better to go out for breakfast elsewhere. We agreed that we would probably return to the hotel due to its perfect location but we would hope that there are some upgrades in the air conditioning to allow us to sleep better because that is the whole reason we are there. Upon our departure we did tell the very friendly lady on the reception and she was sincerely apologetic and seemed extremely genuine, she apologised for the poor air conditioning and we appreciated...
