Update: 2nd and 3rd visit on 22nd and 23rd of April. Experience? 1000% everytime we get here, we cannot fault a single detail! Starting from customer service and waiting staff to meals- absolutely 10/10! The flavours of each meal are impeccable, friendly and attentive waiters (both times were served by Giovanni) made the experience even better (which was hardly achievable!!). Today and yesterday we went for goats cheese salad for starter and mackrel patte. Absolutely delicious, colourful and full of flavour! For mains we went for steak fillet with wine jus sauce and garlic herbs butter. When i had it in January this year it was served on a hot stone where i had to cook it myself, this time since the menu changed it was cooked for me. Medium rare is a way to go, chefs made them perfectly, i am really a fan of the new menu!! New menu is a lot better structured and taylored perfectly. I didnt even miss the hot stones as the quality of food was just as before - A++++ We will be coming back here again and again each time we visit London as this is an experience of its own! see you soon again!
The. Best. Steak. Ever. I am not even over exaggerating, it was the loveliest meal I ever had in my entire life. It was a freezing January evening, right before we went theatre (amazing location, just a minute away from Harold Pinter Theatre) we stumbled accross this place and seeing how busy it was we had no hope of getting in, however door was opened by welcoming staff and they managed to squeeze us into last two seats left. We were frozen cold so ordered drinks straight away and super hungry. Served by the nicest waistress Madara, who was so welcoming and lovely. We ordered started and a huge steak for main, along with a large glass of wine and it was divine. First of all, steak is being cooked by you, so you decide how well (or rare) it done (I attached pictures of steak, chubby fries and pieces of steak sizzling-wish I could eat this now again, mouth watering!!! ). You choose the seasoning, butter and sauce. Flavours were top notch and Madara helped us to pick the best combination. I was eating in small pieces trying to extend this meal, as I didnt want it to end. By far the nicest evening we had in London and we had so many!! I was so full that I couldn't get a desert so I was heartbroken but I know I will come back here next time and will get main with a desert. This place is such a luxury, definitely worth the money, atmosphere is lively and place was beautifully designed, lighting for pictures was lovely. We will never forget this night. Thank you to all the staff on the floor and kitchen staff, we will see...

Francesco, the maître d’, greeted me with the confidence and grace of a seasoned conductor taking the stage. He offered me a seat outside, and I gladly accepted. The early evening light bathed the street in gold—the hum of conversation, clinking glasses, and footsteps forming the overture to a meal worth writing home about. I began with a local pint and their Pork Belly Bites—crisped to a lacquered finish, fatty in all the right ways, with just enough sweetness to offset the richness. One bite in, and I knew I was in the hands of professionals. Then came the crescendo: the Steak Stone Experience. A 12oz ribeye, blue rare, sizzling on a volcanic stone. Accompanied by house seasoning salt, truffle butter, and a bone marrow & red wine jus that could hold its own in any Parisian kitchen. Eden, my waitress and culinary co-pilot, didn’t just serve the meal—she orchestrated it. She recommended the fries (spot-on), demonstrated the searing technique, and—brilliantly—brought a second hot stone mid-meal to maintain the experience. That kind of foresight? Rare. Pun very much intended. I usually polish off a steak in six minutes. This one took me thirty-five. I wasn’t just eating—I was curating each bite. Sear. Salt. Dip. Sip. Repeat. And the sip? Domaine Peter Sichel “Altura 350.” A French red that wasn’t just a pairing—it was a duet. Deep cherry, soft oak, dry finish, and legs that held the spotlight. It stretched the jus, brightened the butter, and lingered between each bite like a well-rehearsed line from a play. Though dessert is rarely part of my solo routine, I made an exception. Sticky Toffee Pudding with Vanilla Gelato. Only a few bites—but those bites were poetry. Warm sponge, rich caramel, cool vanilla that melted like candle wax into each bite. I thought of Monica and our son. They would’ve loved it. So in their honor, I ordered a flawless Espresso Martini—clean, strong, and just sweet enough to remind me why I ordered it. A toast to them... and to the unexpected magic of a solo night done right. I left the restaurant full—but not just with food. With something more.

Read moreWe are a steak-loving family, and our 10-year-old—an absolute carnivore—was the one who insisted we try Steak & Co. in Piccadilly. Despite the glowing reviews, we were a little apprehensive at first, especially about the whole hot stone cooking experience. We’d tried it with fish before in other restaurants, but never with steak in the UK. Would it really work? Would we manage to cook it just right?
We went in on a Friday evening, and from the moment we arrived, the service was spot on. Our server was attentive, always aware of what was happening at the table, and quick to help when needed. Between us, we ordered a 12oz ribeye (for me), a 10oz ribeye (for my wife), another 10oz ribeye (for our 10-year-old), and a rack of ribs (for our 12-year-old). When the steaks arrived, they came beautifully seared on the outside and blue inside—ready for us to finish to our taste on the sizzling hot stones.
The only hiccup was that my wife’s steak seemed slightly more cooked than the others, but the manager immediately replaced it with a perfectly seared, blue-centered ribeye without any fuss. That level of service deserves a mention—it made the experience feel effortless.
The steaks themselves were outstanding. We paired them with truffle butter, steak seasoning salt, and a bone marrow & red wine jus, which together were absolutely spectacular. The hot stone experience meant each of us could cook our steak exactly the way we liked it—every bite was as perfect as the last. My 10-year-old polished off his entire 10oz ribeye (with great pride!), my 12-year-old devoured the rack of ribs, and we left nothing on our plates.
We also shared a big bowl of perfectly cooked chips at the table—crisp on the outside, fluffy inside, just how chips should be.
This is, hands down, one of the best steak experiences we’ve had in London. For us, Steak & Co. is no longer just a one-off—it’s the place we’ll be going back to again and again.
P.S. - the only disappointment at the end of the evening was that they didn’t accept Amex cards for payment - which was pretty shocking for such a large chain but one that @American Express probably needs...
