FAVORITE 'N' TASTY DAGENHAM — Restaurant in London

I visited Favorite N Tasty near Dagenham East station for the first time and was very hungry at lunchtime. While the customer service was decent the staff at the counter were polite and helpful the quality of the food was extremely disappointing.

I ordered a 2-piece chicken with chips and added some extra wings for takeaway. Unfortunately, the chicken pieces were very small, dry, and lacked flavour. Even worse, both the chicken and wings had visible hairs beneath the coating, which was absolutely disgusting and made me lose my appetite. It was clear the chicken hadn’t been cleaned properly.

The hot wings were just as bad dry, hard, and equally unappetising. I don’t understand how a place can serve food in such poor condition. It felt careless and unhygienic. To top it off, the meal was a bit overpriced for the portion size and quality.

Honestly, I will never return. This experience completely ruined my lunch. I’m sharing this not to offend anyone, but to be truthful about what I encountered. I hope this feedback is...

This is the place for chicken & chips 🙂, very tasty and fresh food served always. The hot wings are the best in the area and I particularly enjoy their chicken strip burger. Fries are good quality and the restaurant is always clean. Card payment accepted here and very friendly dedicated staff. I use to visit the dixy chicken 5 minutes down the road however not anymore this is my go to for chicken and chips and burgers.

They constantly bump up the prices every year. I love the customer service at this chicken shop, just really dislike how they bump up prices so often. The only negative thing regarding the food here is: the buns are so basic, if they changed the buns they could increase quality of burgers by 200%. Plus the chips. The chips are so morbid and super oily it ruins the taste. It’s like you’re biting solid oil. more care should be given when frying chips. They’re too thin in my opinion.
