Favorite Chicken & Ribs Elm Park — Restaurant in London

Avoid this place at all cost. They are racist!!. I was the only one in the front queue waiting to be served. This white staff on the counter ignored me and acted like l didn't exist and was asking 2 other white people standing at the right end of the room who has already been served if they need anything. The two onlookers said no, that they have already been served.

This guy continued to ignore me and l said hello and he looked at me disgustingly, asking me "how can l help you"? I said, can l have grilled wings and fries?

He acted like he didn't hear my language and said what? I said GRILLED wings and fries. He pointed at the board and l showed him what l wanted. He then said OK.

Then l said and ribs as well. He looked at me again rudely and said what? At this point l was disgusted. Another staff then approached at this point looking at me rudely and passing a pen and paper to me to write it out.

WHAT AN INSULT!

I TOLD HIM THAT I AM SPEAKING PLAIN SIMPLE ENGLISH LANGUAGE. HE SAID DISGUSTINGLY, "RIGHT! AND ME AND THE OTHER STAFF CANT HEAR YOU", IN A VERY RUDE SPEECH.

I WAS DONE AT THIS POINT. I TOOK MY MONEY AND LEFT.

THIS PLACE IS A RACIST ZONE. AVOID...

Can you please explain to me how a HALAL fried chicken shop as recognised and big nationwide as Favorites are selling PORK bbq ribs????? How can all your food be halal and then in the food prep area and hot holding area can you keep PORK products?? Your chicken is right next to the pork ribs. Absolutely disgraceful. You can get halal lamb ribs, prepare them the same way and coat them in bbq sauce. Why the hell are you selling pork products in a halal food shop?

Not only that but you are not advertising it anywhere that your ribs are pork and not lamb. Everywhere on the menu it simply states 'bbq ribs.' Had I not asked the lady at the counter I would've assumed a halal chicken shop is selling halal lamb ribs. You are KNOWINGLY selling pork ribs to Muslim customers without advertising or informing them beforehand anywhere. Forget informing, the simple fact you are preparing, selling and keeping pork products in the same place you are preparing halal chicken products is categorically wrong and an absolute disgrace.

You havent heard the last of this. Disgusting, you should be ashamed...

As an Uber driver, I’ve had the chance to pick up from many restaurants, but my recent experience at Favorite Chicken & Ribs Elm Park was extremely disappointing. The staff, especially one older gentleman, treated me with utter disrespect. From the moment I entered, I was met with rude behavior and hostility, which I found completely uncalled for. I’ve been in the industry long enough to know that everyone deserves basic courtesy and respect—no one should be treated like they’re less than human, especially not when we're just trying to do our jobs.

Unfortunately, the behavior I encountered here was not only unprofessional but also borderline abusive. It’s disheartening when a place you visit regularly shows such little regard for people in the service industry. I sincerely hope the management addresses this issue so that no one else has to face the same mistreatment.
