First Choice Cafe And Restaurant — Restaurant in London

Been using this cafe for years and always rated it 10/10, service is still great but the food quality is awful. My daughter gets a bueno milkshake, tasted amazing so order myself one. My daughter then finds a big bit of plastic in her straw, then more she's drinking her milkshake the more plastic she's sipping up the straw. Complained to the guys at the till, they say its because they snap the bueno in half in the packaging!!?? Ok but still no reason why all the plastic is blitzed in her milkshake?? Start drinking my milkshake...guess what. Yes mine has loads of plastic in too!!!! My daughter then finds hair in her food bit couldn't be bothered to go up the 3rd time to complain. My fry up tasted cheap, sausages was dry and tasteless, beans tasted like purfume, hash browns was not hash browning, mushrooms was lovely and the bacon and eggs was ok. Nice cafe in Woolwich with very reasonable prices. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the food came out pretty quickly.

I just ordered a jacket potato with cheese for my lunch but it came with a side salad and the portion size was good. I was there in the mid afternoon, after the lunch rush so it wasn't too busy, although there were a few other customers, and it was nice that I could sit there longer without being rushed to leave.

Highly recommend this cafe for their strong coffee (flat white) and big portioned sized meals. Their milkshakes are also really thick and served in a large tall glass. A hit with our children. The jacket potatoes are very big and their coleslaw was creamy and tasty. We've visited a few times and each time the service and food have been great. Their pancakes are also very delicious. They offer good value for money and offer delicious food and drinks. We will be frequenting this cafe a lot more since rediscovering this gem again. We used to visit frequently prior to their revamp.
