Don't Deliveroo from here. The last 3 times we ordered the quality was not good, the sushi was falling apart and warm. We won't deliveroo again, last time the miso soup lid wasn't on properly and spilled everywhere over other food (Deliveroo doesn't refund that) and they forgot the starters (Deliveroo refunded those), when we called, they apologised and said they'd forgotten as really busy. Meant there wasn't enough food for us. Unfortunately, seems like they can't keep up with their success which I can understand as they make everything from scratch. Still worth going in last time I went was end of May, but I saw last week when visiting their neighbours they have new staff in. The premises isn't cooled either so uncomfortable in the heat. I really hope they stick around and perhaps turn off deliveroo if they're too busy!

Original review from March 2022: Amazing, I love sushi and go to Roka and Sticks'n'sushi, this place is on par in terms of sushi quality. We got set menu, katsu curry and set A for our toddler, which was Cucumber and avocado maki rolls. It was so nice and I'm so happy this place is near us now! They made it while we waited and could see how clean it was and how much care they make it with. Got the Ramune/Ramu soft drinks in mellon and lychee too but they are really expensive at £3.50 a...

We tried this restaurant on a very quiet evening with very few people inside the restaurant. We were welcomed by the restaurant manager, he was very kind and professional, we chose our table and sat down. Honestly, the restaurant does not look good, it is very dirty, it has carpet on the floor, the lights are very strong like those in supermarkets, the tables are painted in a very rough way and are greasy, sticky and dirty. The walls are in bad condition, even the bathrooms are dirty and without paper to dry your hands. The music was also very annoying, I could not even understand what they were singing... honestly the atmosphere was not the best. We did not let this discourage us and we tried the food. We ordered a bit of everything, some dishes were missing but everything else arrived. The dishes were classic and not very personalized, but still good, small portions in proportion to the prices, we spent a lot but we were not very satisfied, I recommend adding a few grams of rice to the rolls and a few pieces on the appetizers. Also, all the furniture needs to be reviewed, the bill was for a restaurant but the atmosphere was for a take away. I'm sorry but I didn't feel...

🄢 Hidden Gem at Woolwich Arsenal – Hitachi Restaurant Delivers Big Flavour!

I stumbled across Hitachi Woolwich Arsenal by pure chance—and I’m so glad I did. This place is an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming decor and warm staff created a vibe that’s equal parts relaxing and refined. But the real star? The food.

šŸœ The seafood ramen was a beautiful bowl of comfort—brimming with fresh ingredients and bold, balanced flavours. Each spoonful was pure satisfaction.

šŸ„— The salmon poke bowl was just as impressive: vibrant, clean, and made with obvious care. It’s rare to find dishes so clearly cooked to order, and you can taste the difference.

Every part of the experience felt thoughtfully curated, and the chef deserves a standing ovation. Fresh, delicious, and served with heart—Hitachi is a must-visit spot for anyone craving elevated Japanese cuisine without the fuss.

If you’re near Woolwich Arsenal and haven’t tried Hitachi yet, you’re seriously...

The place was peaceful, staff was very respectful and promptly answered any requests I had. The kitchen is open so you can watch them whilst they prepare if you wished to do so. When the food arrived it was amazing! For the price you're paying for the..quality, presentation was phenomenal. I ordered tea and I don't think they charged me extra for refill. I went with a date here and we ended up spending £16.5 each, so do expect that kind of price average. I had the red dragon roll and sashimi platter which I shared with my date, good variety and definitely love every single bit! Definitely will be coming back when I have sushi on my mind. Thank you
