Five Rivers Bar & Grill — Restaurant in London

We visited this pub before going to the Beck Theatre.. I chose a classic chicken burger with salad but no cheese. I had to pay extra for chips.I was served with a crispy burger coated in breadcrumbs and a thin strip of lettuce. I asked for the meal to be replaced as this was not what I ordered. The waitress returned with the message that the chef was too busy to replace my meal. The pub was not busy. I sent the waitress back with the same request. The response was that I could have fish fingers or nuggets from the children’s menu. Again I requested my correct meal . The waitress said she keeps telling the chef but he won’t replace my burger. At this point I asked to speak to the chef. He refused. Next step was to speak to the manager who was not in the pub so they called him. His response was that he had told the chef not to speak to me. I finally had to take a refund and went to the theatre feeling hungry. Very poor customer service Not even an apology. No wonder the...

Really poor service. Don’t be fooled by the false advertising board outside that says happy hour 25% off between 1300-1600. When I ordered and paid the discount was not applied. Then when I went to ordered a drink I was told that discount only applies when you order food, even though I was having a mixed grill. Though the advertising board outside clearly states happy hour which in my world should apply to food.

And now for the food. Ordered a mix grill. Really bland and tasteless. The kebab was rubbery. All the meats tasted the same…bland. Should have lowered my expectations when one of the three chutney served was mayo.

I would strongly advise don’t waste your time at this place. We visited for a business meeting expecting to enjoy a meal and a few drinks, but were sorely disappointed.

The service was extremely poor, with staff being rude and displaying a noticeable attitude throughout our visit.

To add to this, the cleanliness of the establishment was below acceptable standards, which is very concerning for a restaurant.

I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Customer satisfaction is key, especially in the food and beverage industry, and unfortunately, Five Rivers seems to be lacking in this regard.
